Kobe didn't play in the advanced stats era. If he was same as as Ant he'd be better period. Kobe would have developed his jumper more in the post-Steph era where everybody has a jumper. Also he'd have been targeting advanced stats instead of ball hogging like he did in his era when everyone was copying Jordan's playing style.

I like Ant but Kobe had more raw talent.

If Ant keeps this up I might have to eat my words

The idea Kobe would play differently today now is silly anyway, as people explained. He tried plenty to develop a better 3 ball for eg, he just couldn't.

I hear people said, “His playoff stats compare very favorably against Kobe Bryant.” If people want to compare him to legends after 7 good games, then don’t duck the smoke when you have stinkers (2 stinkers against Denver and 2 so far against Dallas)

And? Where’s the Devin Booker/Kobe comparison when he average 33.7 on 68.6% TS? That is in the midst of his point guard being injured (again) and his center throwing a bitch fit every other game.

There are many far lesser players than Kobe dominating this league, Ant included.

22 year old Ant compared to 22 yo Kobe, I don't see him being any less than Kobe was at that age and arguably quite ahead tbh. I'm not comparing legacy or accolades but just viewing how both of them looked at the same age.

Kobe at 22 at a lot of analysts/former players saying Kobe was better than Jordan at the same age. No one's saying that about Ant.

Kobe wasn't even the first option at age 22. Can't compare the 2 players until the 2005 season forward cause that was the first year Kobe was considered first option, plus LA didn't make the playoffs that year.

I'd still take Ant over Kobe.

Edwards has Kobe and MJ in his top 5, and doesn't have Lebron in his top 5. Even Edwards himself disagrees with you on how good he is.

It’s simply entirely irrelevant to his legacy. A 19 year old played spot minutes in the Olympics and played well when he did play. Scandalous.

You know what is a legacy builder? Playing in the Olympics again 20 years later and still being so good that your peers vote you best player in camp.
