They would have to renounce all mentioned to be able to sign Paul George.

However, Inglés could be brought back on a minimum deal (there’s rumor that we brought him on a way above market deal last summer and it was essentially paying it forward) and if I’m not mistaken Isaacs contract could be restructured.

I believe Fultz/Harris/Okeke days in Orlando are numbered.
They have $49m in space if they let Harris, Fultz, Okeke, and Ingles go. They can create another $8m by not picking up the team option for Moe. Then, they could re-sign him using the $8m room exception. That would give them $57m while keeping Isaac.

I am not wrong on my math.

They will have approximately $43M w/o Harris/Fultz/Okeke/Ingles.

It looks like you’re not accounting for Gogas cap hold, ‘24 FRP and empty roster salary that equals to a little over 8M

Without Isaac (keeping Wagner) = $58M

Keeping Isaac (declining Wagner) = $51M

There's also the possibility of sign and trades. Clippers won't want to lose him for nothing as they're trying to compete so I'm sure they'd happily take back Isaac, Fultz, Anthony, etc. Plus a third team could get involved. There's options to make it work rather easily.

Fultz is a free agent and Clippers are a 2nd apron team and players cannot be aggregated in a trade.

Yeah they could, but until they actually do it's just speculation. It's impossible to project cap space based on theoretical trades so it's not worth the effort.

This whole thread is speculation. Im just saying its an option, and IMO a more likely one than letting Isaac go.18+ Cole for cap space is a good deal for a lot of teams. He's on a 2 year contract at 13 mill/yr, and could turn into an asset if he can get his 3pt% back to where it was in 2022-2023.

yeah trades are definitely an option and there are so many variables that go into how much cap space a team may or may not have that it's just not worth the effort to try and factor them into the equation. But yes, you are 100% right that if they wanted to sign a max free agent it would be possible to make space by trading under contract guys.

An interesting side note with Isaac's contract. His contract does not become fully guaranteed until 1/10/25. So what that means is the Magic don't have to rush a decision on cutting him or not. Most of the time non-guaranteed contracts have a date around the end of the league year - like the one on CP3's contract (6/28/24). That forces teams to make a decision and allows the player, if he were to be waived to sign with a new team while teams have cap space/exceptions to use.

So it's the Clippers and the Magic now. Philly seems out. They know something.

So by "basically confirmed," you mean that this is entirely speculation on your part?

That article is kind of click bait material lol. That podcast had Zach Randolph on it and he was sharing how Kevin Prichard told him he wouldn’t trade him to his face and then traded him. Paul George then said the same thing happened to him. And that he guess he did it because he didn’t want to have that interaction of telling them the truth. And he understand cuz it’s a business but players do talk.

If you think George is turning down a 4 yr max from Philly because Morey hurt Hardens feeling you’re crazy lol. Maxey who is Klutch Sports was promised a max contract if he held off on an extension last season and Klutch obliged. I don’t think Morey rep is hurt one bit. Players go where the money is.

If George turns down Philly it’s because LA stopped playing hard ball and paid him his money.

Bro the rumor basically said that Philly was moving on.lol

I been to Philly and I consider it one of the worst big cities I ever visited. The buildings are old and rusty and the potholes make it difficult to drive. Not sure PG wants that location.

I’m from NJ that’s just a weird statement. Of course he wants to be in LA. But I don’t think a pothole is gonna stop him from taking an extra 50 mil if LA ain’t tryna pay him lol. And if u travel u would know all cities have potholes. That’s kinda what happens when big populations travel on the same road daily.

Trust me potholes in Philly hit different.

Sorry but I have never seen so many potholes in my life like I have in Philly.

What about the dirty old rusty buildings?

Philly is the biggest dump of a city I ever seen.

Did you go on a historic tour or something? the social places I attend aren’t in old rusty building. Idk what all that has to do with 50 mil extra dollars tho. It’s only a discussion because LA won’t pay him otherwise he’d be extended already

Maybe weather and no state tax will result in him choosing Orlando over Philly though if he's choosing between two of the same offers.
When will we just change the name of 25 of the 30 teams to the Washington Generals?

Please advise….

He's said this same thing a few times in different threads, pretty weird. No one thinks having historic buildings is bad and Philly's roads aren't really worse than anywhere else. Someone must've been real mean to the boy in Philly during the two hours he passed through.
