OKC still stocked up with draft picks and young guys on the bench to trade. Yeesh.

I’d be curious to see some Okc fans’ roster breakdowns with minutes by position.

Just trying to picture it but they have a kind of guard/wing heavy rotation whenever I look at it.

Josh Giddey wasn't even PLAYABLE versus the mavs. Why is an eastern conference team making life harder for us mavs fans.

Great trade for the Bulls. What people don't realize about Giddey is he's only 21 years old. He improved from 22% to 33% on 3 point shooting within a year. Given time, he could shoot at a 40% rate in a couple of years. He's also a triple double threat, and probably the best 6'9 ball facilitator since Magic Johnson. Here are some of his big games:

**17/13/14 43.8% @ DAL**

**24/4/8 52.6% @ SAC**

**20/6/10 50% @ UTA**

**23/6/8 57.1% @ BOS**

**28/11/12 50% @ NYK**

**31/10/9 63.6% @ CHA**

When Shai was out, he was averaging a near triple double. The Bulls got lucky; I don't think they are rebuilding. Giddey can do what Lonzo did and more.

I was hoping Presti would keep him and put him in the 2nd unit. The people who say he's not a good fit probably haven't watched a lot of Thunder ball, which is fine because the team is relatively new and upcoming.

AussieCeltic wrote:Surprised people think this low of Josh Giddey. We saw what he’s like with high usage and when he’s not limited to a spot of shooter. He’s only 21 years old and Caruso is a 30 year old guard who is always injured.

Good trade for both teams for where they’re at now, but I think looking back in 5 years we’ll be thinking what a steal for Chicago

I’m not out on him but he’s an awkward player. I think he’s still growing into his body. I think he can be a problem in 2-3 years he needs some time to develop.

Seems like a win-win trade

CHI needs high end talent and they can hope Giddey develops into that.

OKC needs high end role players, and Caruso is that.
What an absolute failure and disaster this franchise is, ran by one of the most incompetent front offices in the league.

We were making redrafts of that draft in 2023, and GIddey was going higher than he originally went. People seriously underestimating just in how much of terrible spot he was this year, and he is 21, kid look good in previous seasons already.

A lot has changed in a year. I don’t even know if he goes top 10 in a redraft now.

Cade
Mobley
Barnes
Suggs
Kuminga
Wagner
Sengun
Murphy III
Herb Jones
Jalen Johnson

All guys I (and I think many others) would take over Giddey right now.

Lots obviously change in a year, but people sometimes live to much in a moment or current narrative. Go watch some of Giddeys highlights, guy is 6'8 guard, he used to be so strong when he gets inside, literally shooting around hims defenders, his passing skills and ball handling good. I will still value what I have seen over the last 3 years, not just this year. Maybe I end up wrong, but I still rather have GIddey over Jalen Johnson or Murphy or Kuminga even, no doubt.
I still think potential with him is very very high, he can easily be an all star in my opinion, player who would get triple doubles weekly and stuff.

It's a win win. Josh Giddey already has 11 triple doubles at 21. That's more than Curry, Morant, and Lonzo Ball. With the ball in his hands on the Bulls, he could be the best triple double threat we're going to see since Westbrook.

Wow OKC. These are the type of moves that will help you get over the top. Good start to their offseason.

Great pick up for OKC!

Alex is a solid vet hustles and has good playoff experience . Also won NBA title with Lakers in 2020.

Josh will be good for the Bulls.

And until they get size and rebounding around Chet in the frontcourt they’re losing in the playoffs. Another two moves are needed.

It’s practically Day 1 of the offseason. You need to calm down. They are not done dealing.

Probably similar to this past season with Caruso slotted into Giddeys minutes. Which is to say, it lines out pretty easy if you play Dub at PF a lot.

I imagine they go one of two ways from here:

1) Keep Dub primarily at PF as they had a lot of success doing this last season, and bring in a situational frontcourt guy who can fill the gap in tough matchups

2) Trade for a more prominent frontcourt guy, which would probably require parting with someone in their backcourt (Joe or Dort maybe). That would also solve the backcourt minutes also.

Giddey is a great fit the Bulls and is just as good, if not more, than Lonzo Ball. At least he's not injury prone, which is a plus already.
