I'm around, clearly unacceptable from Embiid. I do think the Sixers are a total **** though, and they let him do this for years, so part of it is on them. But yeah not a good look, this year has been trash for the Sixers. I'm all aboard on the McCain and Maxey train, with Cooper Flagg dreams. If Embiid will man up and actually playing like we know he can, great, if not, give me one of the top 6 from the draft.

Can't wait to see how a team with Maxey, Embiid and PG ends up tanking out the year.

Man that Maxey, what a character... Aiming shots at Biid who did so much for the city and the fans now because he is crippled by injuries? He wanted to be on time, but his knee hurts, so obviously he walks slower, that is the reason he is sometimes late.

I think they should give him at least four more MVPs so his feelings arent hurt too.

Good move on Maxey's part, but this shouldn't have been leaked to the media and public.

I don't want Embiid to have a short career, hope he takes care of health from this point onward.

The nba needs players like him. He's the perfect villain, super unlikeable but you know he will never win anything, so it's in a way fun watching all his antics.

It's not fun, though. He goes out there and hurts people and plays the ugliest, most boring brand of foul baiting, stat-padding, fraudulent play of anybody in the league. The NBA will be a much, much better product the minute he retires.

I think they should give him the season off to get right. Nurse has no mercy and will play him until the wheels come off. If he was on the Magic, he wouldn't have played last year or this year

I don't have a problem with Maxey holding Embiid accountable for his tardiness. What I have a problem with is people using this as some sort of evidence against their horrible takes for years.

His injuries are legit.

It's sad because injury free, he'd be the greatest player of this generation.

Maybe he just keeps showing up late to his physio appointments.

No he wouldn't. He'd still be a choke artist, a flopper, and a gigantic manbaby who values his statline more than winning.

Nurse let Kawhi completely load manage during their title run. If Nurse is running him into the ground then Embiid, his doctors and the entire organization are all idiots. And Embiids the one who chose to play Olympic basketball through the summer

One of the strangest MVPs in league history. I can't believe people tried to call him the best player in the NBA

Frankly, I think calling him a top 5 player is a stretch.

The only horrid takes are the ones that have claimed he's arguably the best in the world/a legit top 5 player/MVP caliber olayer.

The talent is there. But the atittude and stat padding relegates him to a top 10 guy.

It's about time that this con is finally ending.

His "historic" season last year consisted of him skipping games against good teams, free throw baiting and stat padding, as indicated by him making sure he got up his 21+ shots by the third quarter if he knew he wasn't playing in the 4th.

Embiid being an all time great MVP caliber player is one of the greatest player cons in the history of the league.

This guy was never a top 5 player, and the results will always validate it

Yeah, last year he played way more home games than road games and way more losing teams than winning teams. And three of his injuries last year were a direct result of his statpadding; he went back into blowouts late to chase his 30 point/10 rebound streak(s), and each time he got hurt and missed the next game. The third time was the more serious knee injury. And even still, Jokic ended the season with better overall numbers in twice the sample size against a balanced schedule.

And again, PatBev flat out said Embiid told him his goal was to play against bum teams to get to 65 games to win another MVP. Same reason he played in the Olympics and then sat out the beginning of this season: because he only cares about racking up accolades for himself. Winning in the NBA is hard and he ain't about that life.
