Most of them are as much prisoners of the moment and narrative as anyone else, and don't really dive into the skill of analysis very much. You see it with retired guys all the time, but it's not like they were more on top of things when they were active.

I mean, he and Siakam still lead pacers to the finals. It might means he have higher variance in his performance but still not overrated just off one game.
