Just saw the game winner was a double dribble. Along with the goaltend pacers get a way with a lot in the last two minutes.

Brunson was getting a lot of touch fouls with the patented head snap. There was a play where he grabbed a Pacers arm and hit himself with it to get a foul call.

One of the craziest things I've ever seen. Brunson hit himself in the face with Nesmith's arm. Now that should have been a "flopping" foul.

How is that not an obvious foul on Nesmith? Brunson wouldn’t need to knock nesmith’s arm away of Nesmith wasn’t trying to reach in and get in Brunson’s way.

Game 1 was an absolute gut punch. I still think Knicks in 7. What a completely ridiculous, devastating choke though. One of the worst meltdowns I've seen and I've been a Knicks fan since the 90s.

My prediction was Pacers in 6. This may very well end in 5

I'd be a bit concerned if I were a Knicks fan. The Pacers play a deep rotation and come at you for a full 48 minutes. They play hard and usually have fresh bodies on the court.

Thibs runs a tight 7-man rotation, occasionally sprinkling in Precious or Payne, but it’s essentially a flat 7. Towns, OG, Brunson, and Mitchell looked absolutely gassed last night—and it’s only Game 1.

The Knicks also had a much tougher road to get here. Let’s be honest: they won their first two series, but they easily could’ve lost both. Meanwhile, the Pacers have had a relatively easier path in terms of the grind and number of games. They also look like a very confident team right now, believing they can beat anybody.

It was a 1 in 1000 victory. They will need 3 more to beat us.

Every team we play will be deeper than us with a better coach than us but our 1-5 talent is greater than all of the teams left. That alone will win us this series. They played great ball and it got them down 14 with 2 minutes to go before a miracle happened. Miracles won’t happen every game but their poor defense will continue. Their defense will be a constant. I’m not worried about it.

They played poorly the first 44 min of the game then the Pacers went Yard! If the Pacer play their game from start to finish they're gonna run the Knicks to death. I'm not saying it's over or anything, but right now it's Pacers in 6. I did get the first 2 rounds correct. A lot of this depends on health, but the Pacers are deep and strong at 10 deep.

The good news for New York is that it happened in Game 1. Still time and opportunity to recover. That said, they better win this series now or else they are going to he the laughingstock for another 20 years or so.

Bad news for New York is that happened in game 1 after 4 days rest

They run out of steam in game 1 , hard to see they not gonna run out of steam in games 3/4/5/ especially all remaining games will be played every other day including travel

If there is no major injuries Pacers in 5 whole day , everyday

Can see that happening too. Yes, the Pacers are a good team but New York is capable of winning on the road too, maybe steal one in Indy and we’re back to 2-2 after Game 4.

Again, mad respect to the Pacers and what they have done so far but i see the Knicks responding with a blowout win in G2 and from there it’s all about stealing HC advantage back.

Every 10 minutes I would remember what happened and just shake my head

Felt incredibly frustrated all day not gonna lie, like just kept thinking "bro we literally had the game won what the f*ck!!!!!!!!" in my head.

As far as optimism, I was too optimistic going into game 1, over confident even, now I have tempered myself back into 'I hope they can compete and win' but game 2 will greatly decide my feelings going forward, if they go down 0-2.. idk man lol

What do the analytics nerds who don't believe in "hot hands" have to say about Nesmith's hot hand last night? I don't see the argument as much anymore. I think most people have probably realized at this point that it's a real effect (but I've definitely gotten into the argument with posters on here before, and on the baseball sub-forums).
