2026: 1st will go to either OKC or PHI; 2nd can be swapped to MEM
2027: 1st can be swapped to OKC; 2nd will go to ATL
2028: 1st will go to PHI; 2nd will go to CHA or DET
2029: 1st can be swapped to PHI; 2nd will go to SAS
Clippers have first rounders 2027, and 2029, but in 2027 OKC (and PHI in 2029) can swap their own 1st for the LAC pick.
So please tell me what your narrative is regarding those 2 picks?
Huh? What are you trying to say? If it is you don’t think Clippers have two 1sts to trade that is just lol.
Changing the argument now? Never said the CLippers didnt have 2 picks. I said they were crappy picks. My opinion is that a deal with 2 crappy picks combined with crappy players wont net you Giannis.
Are you two really arguing about how attractive the Clippers' 2027 and 2029 first round picks would be in a Giannis trade? They can't trade those picks because you can't trade picks in consecutive years. That's the only reason they still have them, and instead have traded the swap rights.

No. We are not.
Clippers can trade 30 and 32 1sts. Plus 31 swap outright. And 29/27 swaps after other teams get dibs.

Don’t lose the point…if Knicks are offering only OG or Bridges and Hart, and since Knicks don’t have any picks, other win now teams beat that offer. Lakers, Clippers, Warriors to name some…who have win-now players AND picks to offer.
Giannis has two years to offer acquiring team plus the chance to win him over and stay.
The deal would be much bigger than just those players. Would probably include the Bucks shedding salary as well. But if we’re talking win now player packages, the Knicks beat out all those teams you mentioned. If it’s about picks, it’s only the Lakers and Warriors there. Continuing to include the Clippers like they don’t still owe picks because of the PG/Harden trades.
If the Knicks and Bucks were serious about the negotiations right now, Giannis would be a Knick already.
You are jumping in mid stream. Guy is saying Knicks are only offering OG or Brodges and Hart. No Towns. No Knicks picks (because they don’t have any).
Again, if that is Knicks offer, other win now teams best that offer. Lakers, Clippers, Warriors, Heat and others I am sure. Giannis comes with two seasons control and chance to win him over to stay longer.
I’ll agree that it’ll take more than OG or Bridges to get him. That’s a given. KAT would have to go too. And he’d be the best player available to go for Giannis out of any team that you mentioned.
Don’t agree with the Clippers continuing to get included in this group though. They do not have pieces better than either of those that they’d be willing to trade. Or the picks either.
It also matters where Giannis says he wants to go. I’m sure all this leaked to let the league know there’s a market for him and hoping he expands his list of teams he wants to go to. If it doesn’t go further than NY, it could very well be another Melo situation at the trade deadline.

Clippers have vets and 2x 1sts and 3x swaps to offer.
And with Giannis having 2x years of control and not having a no trade clause, his destination is up to Bucks. With that said, a 2x year rental to teams won’t reward Bucks a massive offer they desire (stud young player and picks). No team is mortgaging future for flight risk.
But other win now teams can beat Knicks offer if Towns is off table and Knicks not having picks to trade.

Shams is a poor man's Adrian Wojnarowski. Shams likes to speculate in order to try to make himself relevant.

Would have to be some kind of 3 team deal where KAT gets the knicks picks to send to the bucks plus salary. That would be a tough deal to make work.
KAT's not nearly enough on his own, and i'd be surprised to see another team give a haul for him. I dont think the Knicks have rehabilitated his value that much (with the same defensive troubles showing with him in the playoffs and his expensive price tag). They'd have to liquiadate one/both of OG/Bridges, and both are overpaid for their production and this is a more cap conscious environment
Short of the Bucks just deciding to take a worse offer, i dont see how Knicks make this work. Portland loved Dame as much as Milwaukee loves Giannis, and even they decided against taking a bad deal to please him.

Agree they'd have to include OG/Bridgers. But I think you might be undervaluing KAT a bit.

I certainly don’t hate the Knicks. You’re just delusional.
OKC, who isn’t far from my team, is in a much better position to acquire Giannis as they are a better team than the Knicks and have far more assets to offer.
Might be true about OKC, but if Giannis does not want to go to another small-market team and demands a trade specifically to the Knicks, is it so far-fetched to think that the Bucks will want to accomodate their superstar, who brought them the championship, by making sure he gets his wish?
Yes. The Bucks don’t control their own picks. Do they want to be totally irrelevant going forward or do they want to be able to rebuild their team? Smaller market teams don’t just sell tickets without promise (or better yet - a legit star) on their roster.
If he forces his way out, they don’t owe him anything.

I like KAT, but i saw what he went for a year ago. Wolves wanted value for him too and ended up with Randle/DDV/1st. If the Wolves could have gotten a rebuilding package for him, i think they would have

For the clippers I think a deal on draft day that includes Zubac, Jones, 26, 30, 32 and an 31 swap isn’t too shabby if that 26 pick is late teens or better.
Jordan Walsh > Lonnie Walker and Charles Bassey

I don't think the wolves wanted a rebuilding package given they have Gobert and ANT. Not to mention Conley. I think they wanted a star replacement and there weren't many on the market so they took Randle. Now I'm pretty low on him...but I'm thinking perhaps I'm lower on him than the market. If I'm right then yes, I'm the one over valuing KAT.

Draft day trade means one year rental fears. Not sure that is offer for one year.

Re: Shams: Knicks the Only Team Giannis Desires to Play For Outside of Milwaukee; Both Teams Discussed Potential Trade
I will say it again…
Knicks offer is Towns plus one of OG or Bridges and filler. If Knicks think that is player asset overpay - it will take that much with Knicks having zero picks to trade. Knicks can also receive player(s) back with Giannis having that much salary going out.
Bucks can decide to keep Knicks players, or forward one to a 3rd team for draft capital/youth.
If Towns is off the table, other win now teams can beat Knicks offer of just OG or Bridges (and Hart). Giannis is a 2x year controlled player with added ability to convince him to stay over those two years. Is he really leaving Luka in LA after two years? No.
Which it should be said, if Giannis goes non-NY destination, even after 2x years he leaves said destination for NY, destination still gets assets back from NY. Knicks won’t have space to absorb Giannis without trade. So, said team would still get OG or Bridges or something via S&T. Point is, not high and dry for taking a chance of Giannis leaving after two year’s of championship runs.

Say it all you want, no way the Knicks are going to gut their team for Giannis. If he comes it will be for OG or Mikal and bench talent. Either way the Knicks are likely in the finals THIS YEAR , so we gucci.

Gut their team? The Knicks have maybe two keepers on their current roster and a bunch of overpaid contracts that are perfect to move. Of course, they gut the team to win since the last time they won was in 1973. If they continue to do what you want, they're never going to win.RHODEY wrote:Wolveswin wrote:I will say it again…
