Even if one is ignorant of the insane amount of hardship, suffering, and injustice China endured from The Opium Wars, World Wars, The Great Leap Forward, non-stop suppression of technology development, undermining stability, and shameless exploit of labour by the US, how can you hate China/Chinese with a straight face if you have ever met Chinese in real life, or visited any parts of China?
There is ZERO moral high ground to stand on for anyone who is pro-America. ZERO. Every black spot China has, is the size of a black hole in America. All of a sudden, every America cares about lives and rights of Muslims, Hong Kong Chinese, Taiwanese, and even mainland Chinese now? After applauding on the trade war that destroyed the livelihood of millions of Chinese, who sacrificed their health and lives to feed the greedy bankrupt Americans for so long?
Whatever wrong China has done out of genuine necessity, America has done out of pure greed. Even posters on this board, knowledgeable in basketball they may be, become unabashedly biased when it comes to any subject regarding China, completely discard their cultural background and personal experiences with China, embracing the undiscriminating bosom of Lady Liberty just like all the corrupt Chinese officials and businessmen have done.
