McNeely is gone, but they might get Kalkbrenner.

Jazz drafted Riley but Washington traded for him...? Any idea what the details are?
Yeah details aren't finalized. They're like swapping Clayton and Riley. The plus will be settled later I think.
Does Nique Clifford fit what you think OKC should be looking for?
No, too small at 6'5" and they traded him. I've been looking. Saliou Niang if he is truly 6'8" as ESPN lists him, would be that athletic SF but he's raw and needs developing. If he's 6'5" as other sites list him, forget him. Mohamed Diawara, athletic 6'9" forward from France fits that profile physically - athletic, quick, can defend multiple positions. Again, raw, needs development. These guys are 2nd round picks. Use that, keep them overseas with a good coach, bring them over in a year.

Simmons like his passing, but this guy struggles with defending athletic guards even with having great size for the position. He's going to have to be a savant on that end to get consistent minutes, at least until he can learn how to defend.

Bill Simmons is a terrible judge of players, so this makes me feel even better about Marks' moves.

https://www.rareslums.com/articles/2025-nba-mock-draft-full-1st-round
Not to toot my own horn but pretty happy with my mock two weeks ago.. got 10/11 first players (not picks) correct (missed CMB and Bryant placements).
Had Coward 11 and Demin top 7
Kasparas falling (but only to 17)
Yanic and Yang Hansen as first rounders
Missed Beringer as a player completely though and had Fleming barely post lotto. 28/30 players I think with Reynaud not picked as well.

For a long time he was mocked as a top 6 player. He's not perfect but might figure it out.
At 20 I think Miami got a steal, but we'll see.

Cant remember someone rise so much AFTER they stopped playing.
It’s all momentum. Similar to the stock market. What made coward come out of nowhere when he hasn’t played a game since November? People think Kon is a good athlete now, and have him pegged as the next Klay
If Kon gets drafted to the wrong team (i.e. Charlotte) I don't see much more than a long-term bench player. Hopefully that doesn't happen.
Kon and Liam McNeeley on the same team. Watch out now.

Once they traded Schroder and Ben Simmons, they literally had no ballhandling playmakers. Now they have Demin, Traore, Saraf and Wolf. That's a lot of guys who love to pass the ball. Sean Marks has nailed this draft.
Maybe, but you can't play three point guards at once. Unless it's Traore at PG, Saraf at SG, and Demin at SF..... actually, that sounds wild....
Someone has to come off the bench. I mean, Simmons and Schroder didn't play together either. They split the playmaking responsibilities when they were on the Nets. Your Minnesota team didn't have a capable backup point guard all season. Teams need more than one point guard. And the odds of Demin playing point guard in the NBA are not high unless he proves to be a Luka or Cade like offensive player. I mean, Giddey plays point guard, but regardless of his numbers, I don't like him because I can't hide him in the playoffs. Demin as a secondary playmaker, he has a ton of value with his size.
Raptors in the old days would play 3 or 4 point guards at times under Nurse and Casey. Ball handling, play making, ability to break down the defenses without looking to the bench for a play. Man I miss those days when we had guards. We suddenly made a freakin U-turn and got rid of them all.

It looked like someone killed Ace Bailey's dog, lit it on fire and launched it into space. Lmao. I've seen some dejected guys getting picked in their unpreferred destination but that one took the cake.

Brooklyn has so many play finishers like Cam Thomas, Cam Johnson, Nic Claxton (terrible free throw shooter though). Why not put guys around them who are willing passers? We just watched Indiana have a dominant offensive playoff run by moving the basketball. And we also watched Minnesota implode at the wrong time because their guards were turnover machines.
The smallest player the Nets picked was 6'4 (Traore). 6'6 Saraf, 6'9 Demin and 6'11 Wolf. They picked positional size and length with passing ability. I am intrigued to see what Jordi Fernandez does with this cast of characters. Heck, I didn't even include 6'6 Drake Powell.

Im more confused as to what TOR is thinking? Dont they already have a 6'8 beefy guy that likes to defend but cant shoot? With a C that also cant shoot?

The Jazz freaking killed it. A+.
Clayton is underrated and we all know Bailey's potential.
Clayton looked like Curry in the tournament.

I absolutely loved the Kasparas Jakucionis pick for the Heat. I couldn't believe he fell to 20. That's great value there.

I actually really liked Queen leading up to the draft but my god the Obese Brothers is a goated name.
Seen someone earlier call them the Burger Bros and thought it was pretty dang funny as well lol.
