Also....Humblebum, where you at? Remember when you told me I don't know how negotiations work and that Orlando was in the "drivers seat?"

That's the thing, they actually won't be the worst. Their roster is good enough to put them at about the 7th pick in the draft...and their payroll still isn't that low. This trade is good from no angle.

That team doesn't have anyone that can come close to or even imitate being a #1 option. I'm not even sure if they have a guy on the roster that is capable of scoring more than 15 points per game, and their defense will be terrible without a center on the roster. Their ceiling is probably last year's New Orleans squad, floor is Bobcats, or worse.

I'm fine with it. Not sure what the big freak out is....... I'm not sure about other Magic fans, but i was READY and EXPECTING Dwight to just walk. And that's what I wanted.....the only thing I am a little ticked about is that he gets to go where he wanted, but who gives a fawk?

Like I said I was expecting to let him walk for nothing, so a rookie with some upside, Vucevic a 7ft, 20 year old and Affalo...........and a couple of first rounders, instead of nothing? I'll take it and anyone who wouldn't is not being realistic. Lettuce be reality this is the best we can get, besides Houston (that would of been my fav deal) and this is FAR better then the Nets offer (lol) so as a magic fan, I say suck it up and enjoy the ride......maybe we'll get a first overall pick again :) I'm an Orlando Magic fan, so I could care less who we give up and who we take in for any players, so long as we are still playing basketball at 7PM and I can go watch the games at the Amway Center.

oh and in no way am I "defending" this trade. Would I love to have gotten Gasol, iggy, bynum, etc for Howard? Of course.....but due to unfortunate circumstances, that's UNREALISTIC. I would have rather waited a bit longer and traded to Houston, as I said, but its not under my control. I'm not losing sleep over this lulz, everyone who's complaining about this, has all the right in the world to.....but to each their own. I would say just move on and get over it

cheers.

So can we just skip to a Lakers vs Heat NBA Finals? We all know those are the two teams that'll get there

Well I'm done with the NBA. Stars will just force trades to big markets, and the small market teams get screwed by Stern enforced trades and fixed draft lotteries. Peace

They were in the driver's seat, but drove the car into a tree. They could've done a perfectly decent Dwight/Bynum swap, but decided that somehow they preferred this.

Doesn't Dwight still have a bad back that might make him miss the beginning of the season--not to mention take away most of his athleticism--and doesn't he still suck at free throws? Not all is perfect, and much can still backfire.

Every now and then I miss the mark. Please, anyone, tell me why this can't be decent for Orlando?

Orlando has three intriguing rookies, Andrew Nicholson, Kyle O'Quinn, and now, Moe Harkless. They will get their own lottery pick this season. They have three more firsts coming.

As things were, the Magic were stuck in the middle with Howard, a guy who wanted out and who was only going to be a problem. If the Magic had picked up Pau, they wouldn't have gotten future assets and they would have been good enough to not be in tank mode.

As it is, I think they did well enough. They'll move Harrington to a contending team, easily.

So first henning signs Jameer to a rediculous long term deal and now he doesn't get a good deal for dwight while making a team in your conference potential better in the long term.

I have to say this may be the worst offseason ever .... well almost.

Count me in a small minority who thinks Bynum would not have elevated Orlando to championship status. He could walk, too.

Don't look down on the Thunder and Boston and Sixers could also pose a risk.
The sixers are big and the heat cannot play small ball on with Lebron at the 5 guarding Bynum

Nash,Kobe,Gasol, Howard may be too many offensive weapons to have a good structured offense.

If it's anyone who would **** this up, it's Mike Brown.

So just to make sure I understand.

Lakers get the best player in the deal one for one, don't take back any bad contracts and three other teams agreed to allow this to happen?

Lmao.

Magic moving to Seattle?
