There's just only so much you can do with Murray and MPJ as your #2 and #3

It is 40% their salary cap is devoted to Murray/MPJ. This is what they've gotten from those 2 today:

6 Points (11 shots)
3 Rebounds
2 Steals
1 Assists
1 Turnover

Their production for 1 player isn't good enough.

The Murray deal was defensible at the time but still an overpay.

Handing MPJr that deal as an extension instead of making him go get a max on the market in the summer was indefensible.

See I would be a harsh GM because Murray has always been a tease to me even during the bubble and title season. Not enough consistency to justify a deal for me. Plus the question should always be can you get a player to replace what he gives. Imo I think you can.

I agree with you on Murray's contract but most teams would make that decision. By contrast MPJ contract is basically indefensible. He had shown nothing to warrant that much money.

What else is new. That's his entire schtick. Flopping and foul-baiting. Dude is shameless.

He got elbowed in the face? Just strange

He literally was reaching at Gordon's face when he "got fouled". By the book he should have been called for a reach before he ever took an elbow (that he only took because he was invading the offensive player's space illegally).

If the posts in this thread are any indication seems like yes.

OKC fans seem to think the Thunder should be able to foul constantly but also have the same amount of free throws as the other team

Not the point. OKC has putrid FT differentials. Yes they are allowed to reach and grab a bit more as a smaller team.. but people cry over and over like they have an egregious whistle, yet ignore that OKC has horrible FT differentials for an elite team.

Thats a wrap

Nuggeta has to move Murray or MPJ if not both of them.

MPJ and Murray combined for 6 points

Jokic has made 2 more baskets than Murray.

Correct. This team is like Lebron 1st run with Cle. The supporting cast is just too damn weak.

That's it for Denver. Good job OKC.

Conclusions after this series:
- The Thunder needed a test to prove they are title worthy; Nuggets gave it to them
- SGA is MVP thought he struggled this series scoring wise, he was overall making the right plays.
- Jokic makes the Top 10 all time guaranteed.
If there is no basketball in heaven, i am not going.

Ant vs this OKC perimeter defense will be interesting. They have a ton of guys to throw at him.

The Thunder foul and give up more free attempts than the Nuggets. The narrative that the refs decided this game is hilarious though. The fact that this went 7 games is troubling for the Thunder tbh  .

Not really. Denver is tougher than we expected and OKC still obviously have some growing pains. But IMO they are still title bound.
