Good draft class. Picks 1-6, which I was interested in during the draft, all had good games. All players were also best fit type of selection, so nothing to regret from the teams/fanbases so far IMO.

Same guy predicted Westbrook to be a journeyman at age 30.

I honestly think its just all a big joke to him. I don't think he actually believes anything he posts.

I've also compared Tatum to Kobe in his summer league. My goodness people. Why is it crazy to think BI won't put up PG numbers? It's really not that ridiculous given that the Lakers are going to showcase him on this young team. Ingram is the face of the franchise now, straight from Magic Johnson himself.

Am I lying when I say Lonzo could be a generational talent? Did you see his triple double day? Do you see his passing skills? If you don't think Kidd or Steve Nash were generational talents than by all means, call me crazy.

Did Kuzma not show he was a special prospect today?

I thought he outshined Tatum today. I think the three ball is necessary in this era. Tatum hasn't shown me that yet. He won't be as good in the iso situation once he gets to the regular season imo. Is Kuzma a better prospect? I think it's still possible. I think the door is open on that.

Ingram the face of the franchise are you sure its not ball or Kuzma with the way you hype them up too. You sound as confused as magic does.

Well 2 of those were bail out last second shots, and one was a half court buzzer shot. You don't count those he's shooting 50%. This is why stats are ruining the game. People don't want to try that half court shot at the end of the quarter or it will hurt their precious stats... :noway: it's sad how the league has become. Wish the stat people stayed with baseball.

Truth of the matter is...Rubio doesn't have Ball's athleticism. Never seen Rubes go up and tomahawk like Ball did today. Never seen Rubes with the hang time that Ball demonstrated in the paint either. And Ball is still maturing. He still has a kid's body. Wait until he trains like a pro and becomes a man, gains strength. He could be a beast.

And Ball's shot is still up in the air. He could end up being just as efficient as he was in college as he gets more time under his belt.

I'd say Ball's passes are more crisp than Rubios. I think Ball will impact the game from long distance once he is acclimated to the league so he'll be multi-dimensional unlike Rubes.

It does seem like all non-laker fans are scared of Ball. I remember when we got Kobe and many opposing teams fans got scared, were in denial of how great Kobe was, tried to play him down, said he was no good, etc. Then Kobe got 5 rings. Ball might just have the same effect, and I think Ball has the rest of the league and their fans a bit scared right now. So as a Laker fan I do understand the defensive mechanisms on this board. When Lakers get someone great it gives the league pause....that oh sh...moment...like oh no...not another Laker dynasty :-o

When you have la fans relating ingram to durant
Ball having the same impact as oberon james or magic johnston we obviously going to make fun of you. He's playing in summer league remember the same league where players who put up 30ppg and on good shooting percentages which are still in the summer leauge
.
Once teams scout him and say hey he cant shoot slack off him then it becomes a lot harder for him to distribute.

Adebayo looked like trash in the 10 odd minutes I watched of him. Very unskilled; ceiling of Biyombo which albeit might net him 15mill a year.

Sorry? He's been balling out this summer, and not just by physically overpowering his opponents. If anything, he's been looking more skilled than expected.

dude is not gonna stand a chance at the next level, would be molested by true bigs like Gobert and Deandre and would not be able to keep up with the new wave of highly skilled bigs (Embiid, Kat, Jokic, Zingers, Myles). I just don't see the potential to warrant a lottery pick that is for sure, maybe Riley thinks he has a high floor but I mean I just don't see anything special there and he seems to be getting a lot of hype.

Generational talent?

Same guy predicted Westbrook to be a journeyman at age 30.
Same guy who called Ingram the next Durant or MJ.
Same guy who claimed Zubac shouldve been a top 3 pick.
Same guy who said he would trade Russell for anyone but Durant.

So...

Right, half of these I didn't say, and who hasn't made an Ingram/Durant comparison? Not a fan of Westbrook but never said he'd be a journeyman at 30. Only way I make that statement is maybe because of his explosive style similar to a healthy Derrick Rose. Body can't maintain that level of explosiveness for many years...injury is bound to happen.

Zubac a top 3? Doubt I said that. If I did, I don't know what I was smoking. But if you can find that thread with that quote LMK. Ingram to MJ? That is another one I don't remember ever saying.

Do remember the Russell trade. It did not make sense to trade Russell for a tier 2 border line all star like Derozoan. So ya, if we traded DLo our best player at the time, I would want a great player for him. I'm on record of saying I would throw Russell for a PG trade as well. Pretty sure I threw Russell and Zubac in a PG trade on the trade forums too. So I've never been too high on Zu, and I think he has a long way to go still.

I wouldn't be surprised if you said any of these things that was listed. You've probably said far worse and laughable stuff if we dug further in your post history.

You said he looked like trash, which he hasn't. Now you're pulling predictions outta your ass. He's getting some hype because he's playing really well and shows sides of his game we hadn't seen before in college, and which seem to answer some of the bigger questions people had about his game being able to translate well. If you had watched more than 10 minutes, you'd see your blind hate would seem to be rather unwarrated.

Ok. Who says Ball can't shoot? Does 2 SL games dictate his whole nba shooting %? Also why is jason kidd so successful his shooting % was never jaw dropping. Interesting thing though...Kidd shot a bit better in college than in the nba. Kidd shot less than 40% in many seasons yet he will be HOF.

He's pretty good i have to say. He needs to improve the defense and shot selection tought.

Too bad he has his dad sitting in the corner giving interviews in every single game. Ugh.
