Yep. Birx says to expect massive surge in positive cases in the next 2-3 days. And then it will likely stay high at least for awhile from the expanded ability to test.

I can tell you that there are many places where this is not being taken seriously. I live in the Charlotte suburbs and had to go out today. It was basically business as usual at many, many places.

It's going to take stacks of bodies on TV before people really understand what is happening

Yeah, when I have to go out I'm surprised how many cars I see on the road. And still pretty surprised how packed all the grocery stores are.

I'm 100% for isolation but people do need food to survive as well. With people not going to restaurants, of course grocery stores will see an uptick in traffic.

Shouldn't we be listening to doctors instead of models on a topic like this? baboom tiss. Sorry, couldn't resist. On the other hand a relatively TV star is president so...maybe a model wouldn't be so bad

GOP plan of last few months

-discourage panic while they panic sell their stocks off in private

-kill off poor people by allowing the ones who can't work from home to keep going to work making them at higher risk of contraction

-blame it on Chinese while they enrich themselves, pretend there was nothing they could have done

-delay testing so that people in big cities, non-red voting places, would die at the highest rates (live closest together). People be a are that not enough tests affects big cities hardest

-call it a 'war' eventually, knowing wartime presidents are usually re-elected, "could last 18 months (on purpose)", right through the election.
They knew this was coming, Wilbur Ross knew some people could get rich, and others would lose out. The delay was intentional.

And when we said he's Hitler people laughed it off. When they killed off some of the Mexicans at the boarder, that wasn't enough for you. Now they're doing this sneak genocide while enriching themselves. You're still gonna vote for Hitler?

Whether this thing started in China might still be up for debate. At this point I'm beginning to trust their govt more than my own. All the evidence is on the table, including throughout these threads on the topic.

This is not what your ancestors fought for.

Strike for political baiting.

China already went back to work (with restrictions in place) over a week ago.

Are these numbers accurate? Or is China lying about their death total?

If they managed to keep deaths below 10,000, how on earth could America ever get to 1 million+ deaths as some were predicting? That seems incredibly unlikely.

China undoubtedly lied their asses off.

Are they lying about people going back to work as well?

Yeah - over the top.

The story here is simple. Complete abject incompetence. We don't really need to go much further than that

That's what you get when there's a vindictive baby in the Oval Office. He's going to let the Blue States which have most of the population in the country suffer wantonly. I'm sorry ClipsFanSince98. Stock up and #STAYTHEFHOME.

Yikes man. This **** isn't good. TBH I already half believe I have it anyway. I'm in day 6 or 7 of shortness of breath (mild), sore throat, headaches etc. IF I do have it... in a way it's a good thing (to get it over with now and build antibodies, assuming it doesn't flip into pneumonia) and means my body is obviously strong enough to fight this off and I haven't went into pneumonia. I feel like I'm getting better, then next day start feeling a little sicker. It's been mild the entire time overall though.

I called about possibly testing 3-4 days ago but they still didn't have enough tests to do people that aren't admitted fully to an ER.

Be careful man, the progression of the disease is: a cold, then a short recovery, then it develops into the flu, then a short recovery, then it develops into the viral pneumonia. (if you're going to get it)

It's bi-phasic meaning it goes worse-better-worse-better-worse-recovery. (if possible)

If you get a fever don't immediately take fever-reducers unless it is dangerously high. Your body needs the fever to fight the infection.

EDIT: And no Ibuprofen either! They've said it worsens the symptoms!

Sigh. That's what I've heard. My oxygen remains at 98%, no coughing up blood or rattle in lungs yet. No fever yet entire time. As long as I watch for those I should be okay?

Better late than never?

I mean, can the executive branch just make something materialize now? Lol

These were largely manufactured in China, who turned shipments around, people started panic-buying, and there is a major need now. This created a shortage.

Can we follow the same rules another mod posted here from the jump and address the blatant political BS that keeps flooding this thread under the guise of posting tweets.

Seriously. Such a blatant agenda.

For sure. The official numbers in the U.S. are like 13k but most states only have a couple hundred people tested. Overall we absolutely have to be in the six figures range.
