Greeks love basketball too, there is a kinda strong fan base in Spain and Italy, but the problem here is that rich European countries like France, England, Germany etc don't give a **** about basketball. I'm English and a huge basketball fan. It's definitely a niche sport in the UK though. Hardly anyone has heard of Giannis or Jokic or James Harden or Kyrie.

MJ and (perhaps) Lebron are probably it if you were to ask the average Brit to name a professional basketball player.

In Lithuania its the opposite, basketball is everything, but I am not sure if our sports media on TV has ever mentioned Baseball, Cricket or American Football once. American football might have been mentioned, but I am sure Baseball and Cricket never was, but FIBA women U18 basketball final was on national television.

Georgia needs to be banned asap, there is no way FIBA should allow this to happen. Imagine if that was team USA and one player got attacked in a different country by opposing players and a freaking police men.

Italy will lose to Croatia most likely. but will beat Britain. They badly need to win both, otherwise they get Serbia in top 16, and thats death sentence.
