There will never be enough protection unless we become a totalitarian society.

There will always be risk, people need to understand that. The government can never 100% assure our safety.

I hope, the police can catch the 2nd suspect alive, in order to give a chance to understand the reasoning better. That could give an indication how to change things in society in order to not let someone think that bombings or shootings are the way to counter their perceived problems in society. And also, to bring justice and have him take responsibility for his despicable actions. The 2nd hope, at least as important as the first, of mine is, that those who were injured have the physical and mental strength to recover from their wounds.

I'm inclined to agree with mystic; I am not interested in living through Minority Report Meets Gattica for Dummies, personally (no offense, Trader).

There's always an element of risk and these sorts of things are the product of factors that cannot be controlled... And happen in totalitarian states anyway. We do what we can within the bounds of morality as it stands: the Patriot Act is already a gross insult to a liberal democratic society as it stands, no need to go further.

Man this is pretty interesting. Its obviously a terrible situation but really interesting watching live news and especially listening to the police scanners ( which is crazy in itself)

I had only read the first tweet when i posted it.... i heard one of the cops say it on the scanner so assumed was real but yeah its obviously fake.. dunno why they said that over the radios
