4/18 4TH quarter.

I feel this way because in terms of game impact, Westbrook is clearly one of the best in the world, but where he has separated himself this season is his late-game motor on both ends, which has single-handedly won OKC games and caused this huge over-achievement. It remind me of '15 Harden, where he was probably a worse player than Curry but impacted the W/L on almost a superior level because of his late-game dominance, which obviously ran out during the playoffs because I usually feel things like that are aberrations against weaker NBA defenses. I wouldn't really want a guy who relies on pure late game heroics to win games, especially in the playoffs, and I specifically remember harden flaming out late in games during the LAC and GS series of the 2015 playoffs...

SO yeah, basically Westbrook is my 2017 regular season MVP, despite me questioning whether or not his game is technically sound enough to beat great defenses like Utah, SA, or GS late in post season games(Westbrook, like Harden did, relies a lot on getting to the foul-line late in games, along with an increased activity on the glass in the passing lanes, I just don't think he has the skillset to crush the sound teams with the same playing style in playoff clutch time, we will see.).

Hard to score when your PG put up damn near 50 shots. I didn't see him pass whatsoever in the 4th. He got away from everything that was working for him in the 1st half.

Don't you get that Westbrook was so **** tired when the 4th quarter started? His teammates couldn't hit a shot. Oladipo can't even make a lay up. Westbrook had to defend, make so many rebounds and assists while the nobody on our team could hit a jumpshot.
It was obvious that he was going to have a bad 4th quarter.

Down 6 with 2 possessions left and Russ drives to the hoop? Weak move to get 50

Or maybe if the Thunder didn't blow a 12 point lead when Westbrook sat at the end of the 3rd.

Well, Thunder can still tie this (although not likely). Heading to OKC for 2 games. They have a good crowd there. This game was close, so they can still make it interesting.

Russ was good but going 4-18 in the 4th is a killer

WB wasn't shooting a lot when Gibson was hitting shots first quarter. What was his option? Pass the ball to Roberson for an open 3?

they're gonna look at the stats and say westbrook is ballhog when in fact, not a single okc player can damn shoot the ball.
he literally is a one man army.

It's funny how it's not an issue in the first half when Westbrook is looking for his assists, the team seems to make shots and give him a double digit lead, all through the third quarter as well as a matter of fact...but once that triple double is secured..... This has happened time and time again.

Tell me something, how many times did he come down and just jack it, how many other players touched the ball on numerous possessions, how many others even get the opportunity to put up a shot during that 4th quarter? One man army? Come on, man. If his teammates where getting the ball and not coming through, it's one thing, but the dude is a bonifide dumbass playing like that in the fourth quarter of a playoff game in which his team actually had a rhythm and a lead....and it was actually because of him...but he changes his tune down the stretch and throws a wrench in it.

He's a great player, and I didn't believe this graph I saw the other day that showed his intentions, when he passes and shoots, but tonight, as a joke, I placed a bet that after he got his triple double he will start chucking and play hero ball, and I made 20 bucks.

Thanks, Russ!

His teammates never had the chance to even touch the ball. But sure, let's just blame his teammates. Donovan has spoiled his star.

Probably gonna end 4-0. Westbrook needs to get to the 4th qtr with 36pts and 13 asts to make it close. It says it all

Because we had a whole season to understand there is no way but this.

I wish next game is close and Westbrook just takes the backseat to watch how it goes.
