Irving isn't debatable at all. He's a better scorer, but significantly inferior in basically every other way. If your best player is either one...Chris Paul is clearly going to lead your team to more wins. Wall isn't really debatable either. He basically does a lot of the same things Paul does, but just not as well. CP3 is a better passer/play maker, defensive player, and a much, much more efficient scorer. Wall is in his 7th season and he still can't shoot worth a crap. I like Wall, but his domination of the Hawks is being a bit overrated for the simple fact that every single one of the Hawks guards is worthless defensively. Bud then kept benching Howard and giving Wall an open invitation to the rim.

Um you do realize that Atlanta had a top 5 rated defense this year, right? If anything Wall's performance is underrated

Replace Wall with CP3 and CP3 beats the Hawks too. CP3 is definitely better than Wall.

His team was injured and he was playing against a 51 win Jazz team, who are better then both the Hawks and the Wizards.

there you go, 13 points in game 7 at home, getting outscored by george hill

the typical chris paul. Having jamal crawford try taking over the game, looking for ways how to pass deandre the ball so he could shoot threes

annd he about to get that 200mil contract

This was his first really bad game the whole series. He's the reason the Clippers didn't lose in 5 after Blake went down.

How about the last 10 years?

How many times has he lost a series as the clear favorite? Once?

I'd love a journalist to ask Doc Rivers if he will quit the job, just to see priceless meme from Doc

You're kidding right? They get to game 7 without a guy who averages 22/8/5 on 50% shooting because Redick, Crawford and Austin Rivers carried right?

Chokes down the stretch in typical fashion.

I don't care about Blake. Chris Paul hasn't done jack **** in his career to give him the reputation he gets.

Wrong series to criticize. Without Griffin, the Jazz are hands down the better team. The fact that they got to game 7 either means Paul is actually that good or the Jazz actually suck.

That's Ryan Anderson money, definitely not going to happen. I suppose if the teams did a sign and trade, but they aren't getting him for that amount. It's very easy for us to tell players to take that much less money when we aren't in that position.

I didn't tell him to do anything.

Touche, but in general when people suggest that a player should take a lot less money to win. Always easier to say when it is someone else.

Has the road team ever won five times in a series?

Irving is like 2 tiers below. Irving will never be as good as 32 year old CP3. Not even close.

I keep reading about the Pelicans and the Spurs, do they even have money? I'm not talking supermax (well he can't get that with them, but his level of max), just even decent money to sign a player of his caliber?

Pelicans can go as high as 18 million per year, I think, or near that amount.

He's not taking a 50% paycut. It will be giving up over 100 million dollars counting the 5th year. You're smarter than this.

So I guess State Farm doesn't have their guys in the 2nd round. Probably cost the league a couple media deals.

CP3 is a beast. But damn he makes it hard to like him and root for him. I flat out hate how he acts on the court and Im not going to lie, its kind of nice seeing him struggle in a game 7 at home.

Another down year for Jamal Crawford, who scored under 50%TS in the playoffs. Maybe this is the ultimate scoring machine Doc Rivers meant?

CP3 absolutely matters, as does Blake Griffin. Too bad they rarely seem to be healthy at the same time. Utah is a hell of a talented team though.
