For some of us it's even the first favorite team:)

Man, Svi is a baller. Too bad it didn't work for him in 'Ronto (am I doing it right, Karate Diop?).
He needs a team that believes in him and puts the ball in his hands (even if from the bench). Being a 3&D 5th guy on the floor clearly doesn't work for him.

And I'm super confused with Len. His per-minute production is nice, but he barely plays. He quickly turns into Boban

Well Lauri, you always have this on Jokic and ain't no one gonna take it away. Good game by Serbs, Finland is usually good ball moving team, but got shut down totally.

Svi definitely thrives when he has an athletic advantage cause that's when his moves off the work the best. He looked like an absolute baller in the gleague. I even remember his going for backdoor alley oop dunks. In Eurobasket he once again is dominating off dribble with his shooting.

Imo his issue is that he's more of a scorer than a pure shooter. Being a scorer off the bench in the NBA is tough, cause teams are looking for that Crawford, JR Smith, Bones Hyland etc. type of production. Basically a scorer that is inconsistent, but still a threat to give you instant offense off the bench every other game and potentially drop 15 to 25 points. If you can't give them that, they'd rather have a specialist, like a 3 point shooter, defender etc.

Svi can definitely shoot, but he's not a 3 point specialist, he's a scorer. But so far he has only excelled in that role outside of the NBA.
So many people who attain the heights of power in this culture—celebrities, for instance—have to make a show of false humility and modesty, as if they got as far as they did by accident and not by ego or ambition.

Here's an instagram post by the Georgian Basketball Federation and Tornike Shengelia (he signed it at the end but the profile who uploaded is the federation's) talking about the fight:

Their claim is that the Turkish players asked them to the tunnel and continue the fight and that they have received death threats from Turkish fans.

Disclaimer: I'm not adopting the Georgian POV as my own here. I am simply posting their response. I have no idea what happened and who is at fault here. I do know that I would love to see the video from that tunnel.

Well, Georgian version is actually supported by the footage from the game, Korkmaz was the one instigating and provoking, it's interesting what FIBA will do, Turkey is big and important member, Georgia isn't.

Sengun is Turkey's best player and it seems Ataman is finally figuring that out, 24/8/6 today.

Maybe he wanted to fight one on one not get attacked by 3 Georgian players plus Georgian police, hes not used to Georgian culture where you jump on one person with 5-6 ppl, we usually let ppl fight 1v1 if they wanna fight.

I'm reserving judgement until we have the details, from what was seen on the court before going to the locker rooms, he has no one to blame but himself.

What in the world is going on behind the scenes? FIBA soap opera spilling onto international stage. Perhaps for the best if the right changes are made.

If Silas doesn't start him and playing him 30+ mins when he's not in foul trouble, I expect you Rocket fans do the world some justice and run that **** out of town.

He has NO excuse this year. NONE. Play. That. Man!!!!!

Slight improvement from France to secure the win despite the fight (and the flops, again, though, i pass on the perma whining..) proposed by the Bosnians.
Collet still struggle to find boost from the bench, especially at the wing, which remains the biggest weakness despite Tarpey's heroics. but his size will limit his impact most likely going forward, as well as all the energy he already lost playing for 2 defensively most of the time.

First good showing from most leaders though, and some clutch plays in the end, even against the zone(s).

At least Lithuania has the ball in the hands to grab the last qualifying spot against that Bosnian team.
And we played to win. As i had said.

Curious to see the kind of game we will have against Slovenia. A lot will depend on the result of Germany/slovenia.

Whats wrong in the video with what i said ? You can clearly see the hard foul in the begining of the video and if you look at 00:44 you can see that Georgian player going to swear at Korkmaz when hes preparing to take free throws , Georgian player was the first one to provoke , after u done all of these things you shouldnt be suprised about how Korkmaz behave after that , you said Korkmaz was provoking when its crystal clear that Georgian player was provoking first, Korkmaz just reacted to his provocations
