For some of us it's even the first favorite team:)
Man, Svi is a baller. Too bad it didn't work for him in 'Ronto (am I doing it right, Karate Diop?).
He needs a team that believes in him and puts the ball in his hands (even if from the bench). Being a 3&D 5th guy on the floor clearly doesn't work for him.
And I'm super confused with Len. His per-minute production is nice, but he barely plays. He quickly turns into Boban
Svi definitely thrives when he has an athletic advantage cause that's when his moves off the work the best. He looked like an absolute baller in the gleague. I even remember his going for backdoor alley oop dunks. In Eurobasket he once again is dominating off dribble with his shooting.
Imo his issue is that he's more of a scorer than a pure shooter. Being a scorer off the bench in the NBA is tough, cause teams are looking for that Crawford, JR Smith, Bones Hyland etc. type of production. Basically a scorer that is inconsistent, but still a threat to give you instant offense off the bench every other game and potentially drop 15 to 25 points. If you can't give them that, they'd rather have a specialist, like a 3 point shooter, defender etc.
Svi can definitely shoot, but he's not a 3 point specialist, he's a scorer. But so far he has only excelled in that role outside of the NBA.
So many people who attain the heights of power in this culture—celebrities, for instance—have to make a show of false humility and modesty, as if they got as far as they did by accident and not by ego or ambition.
