We saw this FVV in 2019 so this is nothing new for Raptors fans...he was big in the Bucks and Warriors series. Rockets fans also turned on FVV just like Raptors fans have, he can be frustrating at times....but when he's hitting his 3s he's great.....6-9 from 3 today, yeah he's going to look good shooting like that.

As a Warriors fan, even tho Kawhi had some big games in that series FVV was the guy who I remember being a possible MVP. He seemed to consistently hit the big demoralizing shots in the 2019 Finals to disrupt big momentum swings while
Also playing good defense.

I still have PTSD from him and once he started catching fire in game 4 he gave me anxiety until the buzzer (and that shot looked dangerous from the camera angle). Now Rockets have momentum and his timely 3s have made a huge difference in the Rockets scoring. Even in a loss the shooting and belief carried over to give the Rox a formidable offense and a good shot to win the series.

FVV is one of those players who can be quiet all game, but he's always going to play hard, and hit big shots at the most crucial times. Like you said it's demoralizing going up against a guy like that all series long. Then on the other end he's great at ending runs from the opposing team.

There's a reason he was called Steady Freddy in Toronto. Dude even was getting Finals MVP talk in 2019.

Kawhi had some nice bulk stats in games 3 and especially game 4 of that series to take control, but other than that, I thought his D was a bit overrated as he constantly got beat by Curry and went for the back swipe (although I think he was starting to get
Hobbled after game 4 and his team mates stepped
Up. As a Warriors fan tho, FVV was the MVP of that series with his great defensive effort and the amount of timely 3s he hit that halted Warrior runs. Every time he shot it felt like it was going in and just completely demoralized enthusiasm. Before that series when his wife was having a baby and he was ice cold, but in the finals he was amazing
Jarret Jack: “I brought one of my best suits. But looking down at this jersey, it’s just a sense of pride I don’t think I’ve ever felt as a professional. … Nothing in my closet is better than what I have on now."

Shocked GSW dropped this game, fully expect them to win game 7.

Wasting? I love the taste of Rockets tears.

Once again, how absolutely moronic of you to go to some other teams websites and complain that they’re complaining about refs and opposing teams  What a shocker ! Sports fans complaining! Lol

Still too much for his level of play and consistency. But like I said, if Houston had a better lead guard instead of Green, Fred would look better night to night IMO.

What we need is to replace Fred with a younger version of him who's more adept at playing fast and doing damage off ball (that's where drafting Sheppard comes in, who may be ready to take minutes next season).

A younger aka more athletic version of FVV who can also play off ball is essentially a hall of famer. Good luck finding or drafting that player.

I think it will easier for Green and Thompson to simply develop their games. Once Thompson adds a bit of muscle mass and ball handling he'll be incredible. He has all the tools 2012 Kawhi had. We'll see how far he can go.
So many people who attain the heights of power in this culture—celebrities, for instance—have to make a show of false humility and modesty, as if they got as far as they did by accident and not by ego or ambition.

Those who actually have watched the Rockets all season and understand styles make fights in the playoffs. The Rockets have the perimeter defenders and athletes to bother the hell out of Curry and Butler. They are also the best rebounding team in the league facing a team that is at its best playing small.

Once the Rockets got over the Warriors dominance of them in the regular season and won in Oracle in April, it should have been obvious that this series was going six or seven games.

I predicted Warriors in 7, but I hope I'm wrong, because I think the Wolves would steamroll the Warriors in a maximum of 5 games. The Rockets actually match up decently with Minnesota.

How many wide open shots did "Playoff Jimmy" brick in the 4th quarter of last night's closeout game? I lost count.

Absolutely loved them losing at home after throwing the game in Houston couple days ago and giggling in the bench like it's nothing.

Game 7 should be pure chaos and ugly af lol

feels like betting the house on Warriors is the move. Game 7 in Houston Steph Curry….feels like this is destined to end poorly for the Rockets

I didn't say that. We don't need him to be more athletic. We just need them to prefer a fast pace over a slow pace. That's just an average player.

We're overflowing with assets, it's definitely easier to acquire whoever we want. Amen and Green will develop in parallel that's fine.

Warriors status as a contender is on the line tomorrow. They were favored to win this series and it looked that way for a while. Ever since then however, Stephen Curry has not performed as well and the Warriors role players outside Pod and Mosses Moody are starting to get exposed. They are going to need a great performance from Stephen Curry and the role players to win away from home. Give credit to the Rockets as well. Their defense has been bothering Stephen Curry and Jimmy Butler in recent games and Fred VanVleet is been pretty good in these playoffs. Steven Adams is making a huge impact in this series despite of the box score not looking the most impressive. Sengun has been pretty good. Some tough conversation need to be have with the Warriors if they lose the series tomorrow with against a team that overall has a lot of issues on offense.

Yep. I didn't have FVV going from a 51.5% regular season TS% to a 63.6% post season TS% on my bingo card.

…and Steph’s team is a 7th seed going up against a 2 with Jimmy Butler as his best running mate.

Bron’s team was a 3 going against a lower 6th seed with his best running mate one of the best players and playoff performers in the game. Nice try Bron stans.

Nobody thinks the Warriors can win but I think they can pull it out. C'mon Playoff Jimmy :D

Rockets young guys are great so if they win it's well deserved!

Steve Kerr wasted good games from Steph & jimmy by not playing tjd or jk who are both young athletic who can play 5 minutes a game at least Kerr is stubborn also gsw are too small and that’s what hurts most Just like lakers vs t wolves to small & no defense

TJD has barely played, and Kuminga has been DNP…asking these guys to save them now in game 7 is nuts. I know JK will make some mistakes, but he’ll also make some plus plays and I’d think Kerr should’ve been trying to see what he was going to get from him at least a few times each night. Agree Kerr has done a poor job utilizing his athletes to counter Houston’s athleticism.

I think the Ws are cooked though. Houston has figured out tossing out their size to go along with that athleticism. They look like they believe now, and will have game 7 home energy. Also Steph’s thumb. Houston is surprising most everyone now, and I expect them to finish the job.
