It was obvious that he was going to have a bad 4th quarter.

His teammates never had the chance to even touch the ball. But sure, let's just blame his teammates. Donovan has spoiled his star.

Are you sure? Oladipo was 1/7 from 3. McDermott only played 13 minutes, and Gibson only 20. We don't have other good shooter. You can blame Donovan more than Westbrook.

I love how Westbrook stans claim that Westbrook had to take all the shot because nobody else on the team could score.

Maybe we could draw that conclusion if anyone else touched the damn ball. At what point does your strategy change from constantly bricking contested shots?

But yeah westbrook made 13 assists by ''not passing the ball''.

Westbrook has to do too much. Obviously the best player on the court tonight, but OKC is too flawed and Westbrook plays too desperate. Rockets are just a great team. They were just as good tonight with or without Harden. Rockets only played okay and took OKCs best shot.

they're gonna look at the stats and say westbrook is ballhog when in fact, not a single okc player can damn shoot the ball.
he literally is a one man army.

It's funny how it's not an issue in the first half when Westbrook is looking for his assists, the team seems to make shots and give him a double digit lead, all through the third quarter as well as a matter of fact...but once that triple double is secured..... This has happened time and time again.

Tell me something, how many times did he come down and just jack it, how many other players touched the ball on numerous possessions, how many others even get the opportunity to put up a shot during that 4th quarter? One man army? Come on, man. If his teammates where getting the ball and not coming through, it's one thing, but the dude is a bonifide dumbass playing like that in the fourth quarter of a playoff game in which his team actually had a rhythm and a lead....and it was actually because of him...but he changes his tune down the stretch and throws a wrench in it.

He's a great player, and I didn't believe this graph I saw the other day that showed his intentions, when he passes and shoots, but tonight, as a joke, I placed a bet that after he got his triple double he will start chucking and play hero ball, and I made 20 bucks.

Thanks, Russ!

In the first half it wasn't an issue because he had Steven Adams and Taj Gibson to at least finish the layups he spoonfed them. Billy didn't play Taj much in the 2nd half and Adams was in foul trouble so he had to rely on Sabonis, Oladipo, Dougie, and Grant and they're all trash.

Westbrook outscored Houston by 11 in the game. OKC was outscored with Russ in the floor by 4 in the 2nd half. IDK what you were watching but I saw Westbrook willing his team and them doing everything they could to throw the game.

If Houston had more frontcourt length/defensive versatility, I would say they could actually beat GS.

The agendas being pushed in here are unreal. The game was lost when Westbrook went to the bench at the end of the third quarter and the supporting cast that you guys are screaming at him to pass the ball to blew a 12-point lead. That fourth quarter would not have gone any differently if anyone else was taking more shots.

I hate heroball as much as anyone, but there is literally no other option with this Thunder team.

I get that his teammates aren't the best shooters. But collectively, they still shot better than Westbrook. Also when you're the only one taking shots after shots after shots, don't you think it becomes really predictable? Uhm, how about you devise some some plays and run them, Donovan?

Look, I'm not out here to single out Westbrook. The entire organization needs to figure out how to incorporate its own players.

Yeah, it's not like they blew a 12 point lead going into the 4th when Westbrook was off the floor. Should've let Roberson initiate more

Game 3 will be tough test for us as they know they lose that they will probably get beat in 4 or 5 at most. Funny thing is the Thunder wree playing well when Doug McBuckets, Grants and co were actually getting shots but in the 4th, Russ was his usuall ball hog self. Don't tell me others were not scoring. Others were when they actually had the ball.

Damn looked it up and I was wrong... OKC was outscored by only 1 point in the second half with Russ on the floor. But y'all want to say he threw the game?
