Being blown out and having mediocre stats hurt a little bit.
Although Lebron voters are using different criteria so it's hard to say what would ever change their minds.

The "LeBron voters" don't matter. The MVP will go to the best player on a top-2 seed, guaransheeed. When this poll started that's what LeBron was. Now that the Lakers are falling he is out of the running, but if they turn it around, he'll be back in contention. It's really not that complicated but people are compelled to make the award more than it is.

Atleast my Clips played the Jazz hard withour Kawhi and PG. They did fade in that 4Q but they played hard compared to this cry baby laker performance

I go by ESPN rankings', last week it was :
1. Lebron
2. Le Bron
3. LEbron
4. lebron
5. LEBROn,
so after Lebron getting stomped without AD, I've got Le Bron moving to first place with LEbron waiting to take advantage if things change

Na, your list is wrong. King James is creeping into the top-5

Not gonna say he's completely out of it because there's really not a no-brainer choice this year, but I have Lebron as a pretty distant 6th at this point behind Embiid, Jokic, Kawhi, Giannis, Lillard. He's basically in that Curry, Luka, Gobert "next tier" of guys outside the Top-5. Maybe he makes up some ground but really it's better if he just rests and focuses on the playoffs, which he's basically spent his entire post-Miami career doing.

Lebron should be moving to first place because Jazz was so good. Lebron would be a lock to win if Embiid scores 50 again. Lebron made all of that happen.

Mitchell needs some love. While i don't think he is leading i still think he should be in top 5 on everyones list and to me he is currently top 3. Sometimes less is more and let your teammates to shine with you. That's what Mitchell is doing as a leader of the team. Similar to CP3

I don't see how you can build a case for Mitchell being even in the top 10.

Yeah, his team is doing amazing but Mitchell is poise to shot around the same he have shooted the last 2 years and his efficiency hasn't increased nor diminished significantly at all. In fact his efficiency is similar than last year (.555 vs .558 TS%).

Not only that, his assist are also around the same, which means he's not defferring or increased his playmaking, even with better shooting around him.

The Jazz is doing amazing because they have more shooting and a better offense than in the past, without compromising their defense. But also because what we're seeing is evidence of Mitchell not having the tools to be a number 1 option on a contender, in theory he should be more open and have more space to operate but his numbers are identical.

I'm a Mitchell fan. One of my favorite players to watch in the league but Gobert over Mitchell for me but neither are sniffing the top 5 in their individual play and either one would be the worst league MVP of all time that I can think of. It's a balanced attack over there and if anything Synder should be the runaway pick for COY as of now but I don't think they have a legitimate MVP candidate

in terms of narrative lenron still is number 1 and its not close. So the same way he possibly lost the MVP trophy in the past could end up helping him this year.

I expect him to drop out of the top spot in terms of ranking over the next month, but see a strong finish for him April-May.

Mitchell has been the third best player on his own team.

Dennis Schroder should move into the Top 5.

Lakers were a top 5 team in the league with him. Without him they cant win games.

Not saying it should be curry or lillard's or jokics right now,. But iono how people are putting curry on a lower tier when team record is pretty much the same while curry is also putting up monster stats + having a worse team.

Those 3 should be grouped together until someone breaks out with a win streak.
