Joel is still a distant dog at +1200. Good time to get in on it for those who thinks he has it in the bag with a top 3 seed.

Based on the way they are playing if the secure a top seed doesn't it have to be Embiid?

Dude had 50 today. At this point it's inevitable if it's a top 3 seed. No one has a better narrative.

Would have won last year if not for injury.

Amazing that Klay is there twice. He can really get on a hot streak.

Yeah. Was thinking the same thing. Would've thought there was upper 40s/low 50s guy on 25 min in there. Hard to do on 2 pointers where more likely to have more points per minute on 3 point outliers versus a guy banging down low? Amazing none the less.

eta: not to water it down but curious what it looks like if you lower to 20mpg. Bet there are a decent amount of 40 point games by guys getting hot off the bench.

No one gets hotter than Klay, 2 of the top 5 with just Wilt and him over 2 pts/min.

This MVP race is going to be insane. 5 man race. Jokic, Steph, Giannis, KD and Embiid

If Jokic, Embiid and Giannis keep it up while KD is out (with Ja sneaking into the conversation), KD is just an afterthought in this year's race. You can't afford to sit out a stretch of games with everyone else firing.

Kd has an Mcl sprain. Hes not a candidate anymore. Its those 4 and perhaps Ja deserves shout. Dont look now but Luka just had 41, 14, 7 against Raps and Mavs are 11-1 in last 12. Theyre not far behind a top seed.

KD is hurt and I really can't consider Steph on par with those other three guys at all.

It's definitely a three horse race between Jokic, Embiid and Giannis.

Obviously I'm biased but if Jokic can drag this carcass of a roster to 50 wins he has to get it. Denver has a ton of home games coming up. I guess you can say the same thing about Embiid without Simmons. Neither roster has anything resembling a second All Star on it.

It's a big man renaissance.

Pretty sure the advanced stats don’t give him much chance, but if Booker can catch fire over the next couple weeks, I wonder if he could enter the race on the basis of being the leading scorer on the number 1 team in basketball - it would give him as strong a narrative as many…
