I suspect Tim, Manu and David discussed this at dinner with him from their perspectives.

The smart play is to do everything to be successful this NBA season and play in the Olympics next year.

Yeah it's a big transition and something or two has to give. After the draft, tons of interviews, then to SA for the presser and restauranting, and house hunting, now to Portland for some work with Nike, then back to SA to practice with the team, all the while fitting in workouts and settling into a new routine and making his eventual debut in Vegas.

Long-term, skipping the WC means continuing the routine for the first NBA season and the Olympics in France in 2024.

Everyone wants a piece of Wemby. He's an industry all on his own. It's good to set boundaries and create a balance from the start.

Wouldn't be surprised if the league pushed for his debut to come in Vegas behind the scenes.

It's because he's so skinny. It just makes him look taller. It's just an optical illusion. Like how Kevin Garnett always looked taller than he really was. Same thing with Durant, which is probably where all that nonsense about him being 7-0 (he very clearly isn't) comes from.

7-3 1/2 barefoot is the same exact height as Boban. That's how he was listed in Europe, and they list barefoot. NBA lists Boban by barefoot height, and they always round up, so thus 7-4. So they are the same exact height. Wemby just looks taller than Boban, because he's probably like 80 to 100 pounds lighter.

Wonder how the Spurs plan to insulate Wemby with a competitive team, instilling a losing culture in a young superstar is a bad idea. They should add a good player in free agency.

Nah, not in the California Classic. He's supposed to play on Friday in Vegas

People thought he was 7’5 barefoot? So an NBA 7’6 or 7’7?
