He's ass defensively too.

I'm not sure how it looked from the TNT broadcast, but the TNT Overtime feed showed them horsing around.

I rewound it and Harden did call CP3 a "midget" before CP3 said that stuff about why couldn't he get 50 and our defense is bad...so I guess Harden started it and was joking ;).

Exactly. Just two teammates giving it to each other.

Wow Warriors got the beat down. Looks like it's Celtics vs. Warriors in the finals.

As far as integrating with the team?

Fits like a glove. Ultimate veteran that we will appreciate. It felt like our shooters shot better with Paul facilitating their points, but everyone went off so we'll see if that's true against Memphis. Defense was alright, but as a team we have to do better even if we score 140. We're missing Luc so we'll see how that helps. Paul is a damn wizard with the ball, I love watching him.

Really appreciate that man.

Figured it wasn't much to look into since it was the Suns but I'm still curious how this going to work out. Saw Harden had 48 and didn't think CP3 played until I checked the box score.

Lakers fans don't want Harden to go for 81

Kobe went for that 81 trailing mostly in a game and not while leading the opponent by 40!

This is exactly what's wrong with the league. Reffing shouldn't be opinionated. If a player is really a star, they shouldn't need 20 FTs a night to get their points.

To be fair, everyone looks sharp against the Suns.

Can you not continue to not be negative, like the other night?

Houston dont play defense either, so we are going to score points.

Not true. 11th best defense going into tonight, 8th before Toronto shot the lights out. They stopped playing defense after they pulled away.

Let's talk about that "11th/8th best Rockets defense" midway through the regular season.

That's fine. Wna make a bet they will still be top 10? They just got cp3 back. There defense will get better

There is a legit shot that there will be no drop off in offense for this team throughout the game if Mike spaces out Harden/CP3's minutes properly. This offense can be scary.

Doc Rivers is confused as to what this "staggering" is all about

Doc knows staggering, he is just religious about staggering with Jamal Crawford.

Goes both ways. If a player isn't a star, he wouldn't attract some defense 20X tighter than for those who aren't.

LeBron and Harden is a great fit if it's just them two...but adding Chris Paul would be very redundant when they're all on the court together.

I'd much prefer:

PG: Harden
SG: Gordon
SF: LeBron/Ariza/Mbah Moute
PF: Anderson/Tucker/Mbah Moute
C: Capela

Add some bench guards and that team can compete against Golden State.

Booker rarely gets calls, and he has been touted around the league by a number of players as being the next superstar player. He's also the only player on the Suns that any team defends, and he's smothered almost the entire game. I guess it also depends on the team that "star" is on? Star calls are ridiculous any way you look at it. If a player fouls, it's a foul, no need for special treatment for one player over another. Too much room for bias.

Thing is, you don't have to have all 3 on the court very often. Plus Harden and Paul are good shooters. You can put the ball in LeBron's hands at the end of the game and have some nightmare scenarios for the opposing defense. You have to worry about LeBron driving, you have to worry about Paul and Harden behind the arc, and you have to worry about secondary drives when LeBron kicks it out to Harden. When LeBron is on the court you want shooters, Paul and Harden being able to create is a bonus not a negative.

"Star" by my definition are those presently ranked as top 20 players in the league. Or at least at some point was top 20 and are currently leading his team.

Again... who is considered a star is largely not up to the individual player, but people's biases towards who should be a star. Any way you cut it, calling a foul on one side because it was against a "star" and then swallowing the whistle for a role player is bias and should not be the standard.
