So funny already how overblown were calls about Zion dealing with an actual NBA size, basically the way he finishes around a rim hasn't changed: too quick for typical bigs, too strong for forwards, amazing combination of soft touch and body control (this field goal over Gobert in 1st half, wow) against rim protectors and such a great 2nd jump. The only knock against him (on offense, cause he's so bad defensively in this preseason like Pelicans in general) are ballhandling issues that from time to time had happened to him at Duke and were on display against Hawks, but he'll figure it out in a year or so.

On the other hand, Ingram has looked up to now so average even if he got some consecutive buckets in periods of games. I thought he'll find his spots today without Holiday and with more time handling an offense but his decision making is so so questionable.

Lol reading these comments I was beginning to think Ingram is the guy you look at trading. But they do need his height and length up front in theory

Zion is clearly special right out the gate. It will be a different challenge when teams gameplan and double team him...but that's the point. He's already such a force in the paint you have gameplan against him.

Yeah I don't wanna be harsh on Ingram because he had some serious health issues in past few months and he's still pretty young but he's not only poor fit on paper basketball-wise for this team, but also he'll get overpaid by some average team on next year's market and Pelicans will have to match it. He might be in position suprise us or we gonna trade you away, especially considering non existent extension talks.

How many times will the phrase "it's only preseason" be used in this thread on average?
