If Jokic can get the nuggets top 4 see which is pretty tall task he wins it if not Giannis will. If they sixers get Joel pg and they get 2nd seed he will win it

I just looked up Steph's stats. Yeesh. He's fallen off a cliff, and might be having his worst season in a decade.

Zubac avg 9pts +23pts
Jackson avg 16pts +13pts

and two of them considered DPOY level players

Plus Bamba only has 2 shot attempts after the 1st half so the tank started then?

Bucks are 17-3 when they play their Big 3. Giannis should still be the front runner.

I'm putting Ja ahead of Gobert and Lebron in that list. I don't even have Lebron in the conversation.

Morant has been great but he hasn't been better than Curry/CP3 among guards.

Giannis is playing both ends at an MVP level and if the Bucks can ever get healthy, they're going to get the 1st seed in the East. That's going to be the deciding factor.

Other than narrative, I can't see how Curry is a MVP. I don't have him in my top 3. I had Giannis as MVP before season started and I'm sticking with my pick.

Not sure how a record that proves Giannis needs his other two all stars to win helps his case and makes him the front runner.

After Joel's performance last night, he went all the way to +800 odds with Jokic also at +800 odds.

Then Jokic's game, on national TV happened. After that game, he dropped from +800 to +600 odds and Embiid went back up to +850.

Jokic had 11/5 and a gamewinning assist in the overtime period. That shot him up even in the casual fans eyes.

It appears everyone has had roster issues, its been a tough year.

I may end up voting for Jokic in the end.

He's the most impressive individual player this year. Since there are no standout players and teams this year, and Jokic is on a winning team technically, I see no problem with him getting it.

If embiid can carry his team to the #1 seed or something, somehow, I'll give it to him. I guess the same for Giannis.

This is just one of those odd years for the race where theres no perfect candidate.

I'd read his post again because I don't see him denying that. He even says Embiid and Giannis would probably win if their team gets a top seed. However, as it stands now you either have to give it to someone like Curry or CP3 if you think seeding is the most important or to Jokic if individual performance is more important to you.

Context does as well. Bucks are winning at 63% clip when Giannis plays, and Nuggets at 55% clip when Jokic plays.

Nuggets have an easy remaining schedule, while bucks have hardest one. I won't be surprised if we see them end around the same win % when playing.
https://www.tankathon.com/remaining_schedule_strength

Should we credit players with wins when they sit? So if Giannis is currently 4th in East, he goes down for 20 games, Bucks win all 20 and are 1st in East, does that help him because "team record matters"?
