Tatum can do everything so? Any of them for the purpose of a blowout

Are you serious rn? Greece is way worse in supporting cast than Serbia. Quit the excuses lmao.

Again let’s compare Canada’s front court vs the US. Giannis got his because of the weak front court he was facing

Again, let’s compare supporting casts. You were just singing high praises of Serbia while Greece is complete garbage without Giannis. Cut the bs. Giannis is simply the better player

Lebron made it to the finals with that cleveland team.

Bird would have won 4 rings with that team, in this weak ass era of basketball.

Think the problem is, he's not elite at anything. He's a plus defender, a plus shooter, and plus scorer and that's about it. All round he's an elite player, but maybe that's not the fit that Kerr wants. Tatum does not have one elite skill.

As much as I don't like Tatum's game, I'm also surprised he's not played.

Tatum is better than Booker at literally everything. No excuse for this bs

Booker from his form, and explosiveness is probably known as a better shooter and scorer, althouth the numbers don't say the same. Mostly based on rep.

Nope, Tatum and Haliburton are the weakest links. Correct move by Kerr and Spo to remove them from the lineup. Tatum particularly didn’t show us anything in the friendly games. Inefficient chucking just like the finals

JT is the one current 1st team All NBA player on Team USA. He won Gold 4 years ago as the team's 2nd option and 2nd leading scorer behind KD. Has played beautifully in FIBA. He was also good in the friendlies, playing defense and moving the ball and attacking the rim.

And regarding a larger point that's bugging me, I don't get why the younger guys on this team are not being featured. In 4 years the old dudes on the team will be retired and it would be cool to create some continuity where the next wave of Team USA leaders get some experience together. Like what is the core of this team aside from just being a revolving door of mercenaries?

All that said, maybe JT is ill or banged up today. I dunno.

Embiid should catch a flight back to Philly.

Only that guy with make Embiid into a victim, in a instance he commits unsportsmanlike foul. As someone said during playoffs, Embiid could assasinate eyetomas family, and eyetome would still find a reason why Embiid is innocent. This is notveven fanbom, but sad cult like behavior.

Exactly  idk what these guys want. And now with KD back, there really is no minutes for him. I guess you can go with Tatum over White but at least White plays his role perfectly. Tatum tries to “get his” and it’s usually an inefficient jumper that we just don’t need

It was adressed, no he is not, but this is the KD and LBJ olympic farewell tour, Tatum is #3 on the depth chart as extra insurance. Kerr and Spo will give him some garbage time minutes and that's about it.

Booker is starting at the 3 spot. There's no way he's a better option than Tatum as a 3 and d wing when Lebron, Steph, and Embiid are dominating the ball.

Also not taking advantage of the chemistry the Celtics’ 3 would have is dumb. The 3 barely played together in exhibition games IIRC, and that should be something they are taking advantage of as chemistry is something team USA usually struggles with.

What does that have to do with you thinking France is better than Serbia. Also Jokic was better than Giannis when they played against each other the last couple of years

Sorry if you;re blinded by your Embiid hatred. LeBron was clearly the one who fouled harder.

Maybe Kerr is mad at Tatum for the 2022 NBA Finals? But GSW won so that doesn't really make sense as a motive for benching him.

It’s extremely disrespectful how USA handled this. The Jaylen Brown thing too. JB would’ve feasted in international play. I wouldn’t be surprised if JT didn’t come back

Nothing awful about it. Its about winning and if youre not about winning, then the team shouldnt want you. Tatum is not Lebron and Hali is not Steph. Both of those guys are replaceable, even in future olympics/FIBA comps

Good luck to Team USA if you aren’t going to use Tatum in future Olympics, lol. And then our fans complain about lack of continuity. It is disrespect.

Calm down dude, he wasn't going to get mins with Durant, LBJ, and Curry. This is like a redshirt year for him and Hail. They are the future if they want it.
