We couldn't have done the last two without you. And don't get me wrong, you'll be needed again. But with the Celtics basically facing an insurmountable deficit if they lose we need The Corey's talents to move the needle further in our favor for this next game.

That’s the craziest take I read on this forums

Mikal isn’t worth 5 FRP even in their 20s

How do you know picks in 2029 and 2031 , respectively 4 and 6 years from now will end up in their 20s ? ?

Nets did amazing deal as it is , and you overvalued Mikal by a lot , not by a little , by a lot

It was an overpay for sure maybe by 2 picks or so but if it results in an ECF, Finals or ring then no one will care.
Hell the last time we made an ECF was 25 years ago.

Any move resulting winning a championship it’s a great move , hard to disagree with you on that and if you do I will come here and say , YES Mikal was a great move for the Knicks no matter amount of picks you paid , bar none

But making conference finals or even finals that’s not a success Knicks should brag about , second best it’s always a biggest loser in my opinion

Oh stop. This from an organization that had the following:

"Damian Lillard, Jayson Tatum, and Jaylen Brown were former Nets draft picks who the franchise traded away before getting the chance to use them, while James Harden, Kyrie Irving, and Kevin Durant were teammates who have gone on to pastures new."

Besides Knicks lead the series , it could end for you 2-4 then who’s gonna remember this plays ? Like nobody ?

First it was 4-0, guaranteed. Then it was 4-1, for sure. Now it’s “it could end 2-4”

If Mikal is the worst Knick, it’s even more embarrassing that he cooked the Celtics in the 4th and outscored supposed to be best player in the series, Tatum

I wouldn’t necessarily blame any single Celtic player for their defeats, but if Mazzula doesn’t see his faults on how this two games played out he gotta be the dumbest HC in the league

He pissed away two very comfortable 20 points leads exactly the same way , no game plan , no timely time ousts , if he sees his mistakes Boston wins this series

This would’ve never happened under Udoka , 1 game maybe , 2 in a row , no way

Can definitely blame the players as well as Mazzulla.

The amount of times I saw Celtic players pass up easy layups to go shoot another 3 when they’re not dropping was ridiculous. This is how they won last year and that’s the formula they’re sticking to.

And Thibs did a great job adjusting in the 2nd halves both times. Can’t discount that.

Yeah, arky has delivered what we needed from him. My man can enjoy his vacation until the ECF knowing he's done right by the team 8-)

Celtics still don't know why they lose those leads. They still think they are doing the right thing. I guess that is very good news for the knicks.
They are defending brunson really well just as expected, but because of their stubbornness and arrogance are down 2-0.

Losing a 20 points lead so late in the game is on you, no matter how well the defense is playing. Celtics are playing like they are down 20, taking shots way to early in the shot clock.
Steve Kerr said in the post game press conference, how they were managing that lead in the fourth, preferring to take shot clock violation instead of turning the ball over, or shooting to early. Maybe Mazzulla should listen to that.

Maybe run a play to put tatum in a triple threat position near the free throw line. I don't think they have such a thing in their playbook, or run a p&r will jrue holiday. There is 0 creativity in that coach.

Last year they never had to adjust, when they lost a game, they came back and they did the same thing. Listening to Mazzulla is so annoying, and I am not even a Celtics fan. He sounds like he has no idea, he is a one trick pony.

The Porzingis illness is very weird. He most likely would have helped with a lot of things, but that should not be an excuse for the coaching staff. They have more than enough.

Very accurate post , my first thought was if Mazzulla thinks they doing the right thing they’re in a world of trouble

Maybe it’s a smokescreen right ? He cannot be that dumb or dumber ? Right ?

Yeah it’s gotta be a smokescreen :D

I would love nothing more than a Knicks Pacers finals. Let's see if ownership of the Knicks passes from Reggie to Hali.

This. if you lead by 20 in the time of 15 minutes left, you should take all the time in the offence and even risk shot clock violation.

It's beyond dumb to take shots in 3-4 ,seconds as if you are down.
