Denver does need to upgrade their talent but it is 1-3.

A strong, defensive oriented power forward is the ideal pairing for Jokic. Gordon is fine. KD is a terrible pairing for Jokic.

MPJ deserves a pass. He's playing with one arm. They have to play him because even a one-armed MPJ is better than playing Watson.

And Gordon isn't nearly himself. Not saying they would have won, but let's remember, win or lose, they took the Thunder to seven.

The Nuggets taking the Thunder to a game 7, considering the circumstances surrounding the franchise since the last week of the regular season is a win. I'd give them an A+ for their performance this playoffs. So many exciting games they've played (14 in total). Now your starting forwards are both injured and yet, neither has sat out a game. I have nothing but respect and admiration for this team not packing it in against the Clippers.

I've been watching while driving back to Houston, so I haven't been able to read or comment. I just want to say that Russell Westbrook playing 13 minutes in the first half was utter insanity on the part of David Adelman. Literally doing the same thing and expecting a different result. Westbrook is a -62 in 102 minutes over the last five games. He was a -23 in 13 minutes in the first half. That's -85 in his last 115 minutes.

Westbrook has been the most valuable player in this series. Unfortunately, it wasn't for the Nuggets.

You need a massive sample for plus/minus to be reliable. Russ hasn't been a big problem for Denver in this series and Denver doesn't have better alternatives to Russ.

You don't get massive sample sizes in 7 game series that need quick adjustments. The +/- is just a shorthand for: lack of spacing and the myriad problems it brings; poor decision making; live ball turnovers that have been the lifeblood of the Thunder all year; missed shots, including layups, which are essentially more live ball turnovers; inconsistent defensive focus; and a limited offensive repertoire that helps the Thunder build a reliable, easy, and repeatable defensive game plan when he's on the court.

Guys like Murray and MPJ just don't have a lot of value. Braun has developed into a pretty good player, but he doesn't make a lot of money. It's hard to see a path for significant improvement with this roster.

If I were to guess, this is the last time this core will be together. Most likely trade candidate is MPJ. It sucks because he's a great shooter, but the problem is when his shot isn't falling he can't do anything else.
