A lot of talk about all the Lakers players but the guy who stood out the most to me is Jaylen Brown. He looks horrible for a second year player in summer league. 0 feel for the game and he screwed up any time his number was called on to create for the team

He's going to need some stars around him, which may not happen for a while. I feel bad for him until that happens, because he's under one of the biggest microscopes I've ever seen.

I'm not anti Tatum, I've compared Tatum to Kobe...hello. I just saw Kuzma shine over Tatum and he's a 27th pick.

I like Kuzma but settle down bud.

OP said Tatum = Kobelike.
Kuzma > Tatum, then
Kuzma = Jordanesque?

Great passer but that's about it. Still have major concerns about getting his jumpshot off and getting points in the lane.

The truth is neither matters.

But to the people who put so much weight on the 1st game, they should put equal weight on the second.

However, anyone with a brain knows summer league is just glorified exhibitions built to help young players get confortable

It wasn't even the best performance on his own team (Kuzma) in this summer league game, let alone the game (Tatum). But yet he gets all the attention, and the commentary was so biased I couldn't even listen to it on the radio after the first half.

I feel bad for those other players on the Lakers cause they are never going to get any credit or attention as long as this media diva and his dad are a part of their franchise. And Laker fans think this circus is going to attract FA's? I think it will be the opposite.

Alonzo isn't Westbrook, he shouldn't be shooting so many threes, not his game. Anyway, he has the skills to make his teammates better, 11 rebounds and 11 assists, the 3s should be a bonus. His defense is going to be the key if he is successful or not. Similarly, Ben Simmons should be the same type player. Ben's rebounds and assists should be great, hopefully his defense is good. Anyway, some really good players added to the NBA, great for fans!

Kuzma, a late 1st round pick outplayed Tatum. Tatum cant shoot the 3 as well as Kuzma (so far) and Kumza also did great on defense.

Stop being so dramatic.

You do know Kuzma was a horrible three point shooter in college right? So no, Kuzma hasn't shown he can shoot the three better, taking more of them in one game doesn't prove anything. I don't even understand how anyone can say Kuzma outplayed Tatum in the first place either, because he scored four more points? He still was a -2 on the court and what exactly did Kuzma do that makes you think he played great defense? So did Semi outplay Ball because he made more threes and played much better defense? He def was the more efficiefficient shooter and did a great job on the much bigger Zubac on defense.

If you're looking at Kuzma's career numbers then you're missing why he was selected in the 1st round. He shot over 40% from 3 in his last 10 college games and he lit it up at the combine and pre-draft workouts. That's why he shot up in the rankings after initially being projected as a 2nd rounder. It may just be an extended streak or he might just be developing his shot and becoming a better basketball player as a guy who is 22 years old. That's an advantage of drafting older guys. You get to see their growth before picking them. As a guy who might be a perfect fit next to Lonzo, I'm willing to take a chance at #27.

Anyway, Kuzma is basically playing the TJ Leaf role in UCLA offense. Ball is making him look better, getting him wide open looks. Can't wait to see Kuzma, Lopez, Ingram and Ball all in the lineup.

10 college games and some work outs is the definition of a streak.

He shot 40% from 3 in college as a freshman. How can that not be his game?

Cool. Like I said in my last post, at #27 it's worth finding out. If he turns out to be a stretch 4 that can get you 8-10 rebounds a game then he may end up being a perfect fit next to your #2 pick. It's worth the risk to find out. That late in the draft you just want guys who stick in the NBA.
