I get voter fatigue. But if Giannis keeps this up and Milwaukee finishes top-3 in the East, he’s prob gonna steal a 3rd.

The east is dumpster fire garbage. You shouldn't even be up for contention unless you're first or carrying an incredible load. No chance for Giannis unless the Bucks climb to the top.

Giannis is doing all this without arguably their 2nd best player in Jrue. I hoping he’s back Sunday for the clippers gm our perimeter Defense is soooo much better with him!
Holiday was playing great basketball before he was out the last 3 weeks because of health protocols.

Nikola Jokic gave his 2nd best player and 3 other role players a game sealing fastbreak and they couldn’t execute. He’s my MVP

Giannis by seasons end will more than likely be deserving of the MVP. I expect Milwaukee to have a better record than Philadelphia by seasons end unless Philly trades for Lowry. Joel Embiid at the moment is who I believe is the MVP but I don't know if he can keep it up until the end of the season.

The media and Lebron fans are desperate for him to win his 5th MVP so he can be tied with Jordan.

The top 2 guys Jokic and Embiid have faltered with wins and inefficiency lately. The other guys like Lillard or Curry have neither moved up nor down. Giannis is climbing at the moment, but this is a wide open race folks.

Giannis is at the very least in the 2 spot gunning for the #1. This is a REGULAR SEASON award folks.

Pretty embarassing ladder, but it makes us understand:
Nets and jazz players are out of the equation. Jazz duo not considered good enough, nets because they formed this superteam, and harden and irving aren't liked atm. So, from the east you have embiid 1° and Giannis 2°, great two way play good record. Ovest you have jokic curry lillard doncic (great numbers not the greatest record, but dame and curry's teams are overperforming, meanwhile jokic is posting historical numbers) lebron leonard, good numbers and two way level (especially considering that the nba has lebron 4th in the dpoy ladder, which is ridicolous, to me last year he was good enough for like, 4th team all defense in the rs and 2nd team all defense in the playoffs, this rs I would put him like in a 5-6 th team all-d, not in a first team lol), good records, but both not that good considering how good their team is (especially lebron with this 4 Ls streak)

From now on I will probably focus on these 7: embiid jokic lebron giannis curry lillard and leonard, since we now know that nets and jazz won't be considered and doncic will probably not even have a positive record or make the playoffs.

So my list now would be
1) Embiid
2) Jokic
3) Giannis
4) Lillard
5) Leonard
6) Curry
7) Lebron

PS. Also we can start overlooking giannis if he's 8th at this point, but maybe they will give him credit if he gets the 2nd or 1st seed

Didn't Giannis recently come off a 5 game losing streak? At full strength?

I mean that is my point... LeBron on a 4 game L streak and Giannis was just on one, but "that tool" is salty Giannis isn't on the list and LeBron is. Hurrr durrrr.

Yeah but historical context looms large when it comes to Giannis. Only twice in NBA history has there been a 3x in a row award winner and I think the media will be hesitant to have Giannis do something that some of the league's greatest players never achieved especially since he doesn't have a Finals appearance yet. I think they're also afraid of what happens if they give Giannis the award again and the Bucks don't reach the Finals again. The award and voters would face unprecedented scrutiny.

Kawhi is 6th, Curry 4th. I'm not fond of Giannis being too high up right now either, but I have no idea how the hell Doncic is in front of him. At best, Doncic should be in 10th place.

If anyone is getting disrespected, it's Gobert. His inferior partner is getting the love for whatever reason.

According to NBA, a 20 game losing streak would have Lebron be at no 6 in the MVP rankings. It seems a bit unfair if you ask me.

James Harden will be in the discussion by the end of the week as a serious contender for MVP if he continues putting up the numbers he's been doing.

He could put up 40, 15, 15 for the rest of the year and it wouldn't wipe away what happened in Houston. He's not winning it this year.

That’s the dumbest reasoning there is since it’s a regular season award. Plus Giannis was 24-25 those seasons he won and the great Michael Jordan wasn’t to the finals at that age or even at 26 which Giannis just turned in December. If Giannis keeps up this shooting 75 plus from free throw line that’s all I care about everything else will fall in place including mvp and playoff success.
