Gražulis MVP today for Latvia. That's what Kokneses Cocaine does.
Celtics fan.
We also face the Kings twice in the near future. I think it's time Yabu pays back some of that free money he's been given his entire career and bounces Fox for a nice 2 week ankle sprain.

It’s a given though that the US won’t be tested until the KO rounds. Maybe even Semis.

Lithuania itself is a backup team. Missing 5-6 players who would be 90% locks to be in the squad.

We are going to 1/4 finals!!! Two groups of death, no Porzingis (and other potential leaders like Lomazs, Strelnieks) and we still did it!
Today's MVP for sure was Grazulis, great game on defense as well. Zagars was crucial with 10 points to start the 3rd quarter, Davis Bertans made some crucial threes as well. Let's go to Manila!!!

That's a bad thing for the US, the 1st time they'd see someone challenging them, it will be a knock out game.
They are the best team, but it's only one game, anything can happen.

Yes! I hope Germany continues this, it’s their only chance this game as Slovenia’s offense is way better than theirs so far.

Germany slowed the pace down and it messed up Slovenia’s rhythm. This is one of those games they’ll need Luka to takeover methinks.

They will be tested by Serbia (most likely) in the 1/4.

For the DOM-SER game, Italy must be cheering hard for the Serbians since they’ll get Group #1 with a Serbia win but will fall to #2 if the Dominicans get the upset victory.
Second in that group means an early KO date with the US so they don’t want that of course.

Why not?
I don't get this supposed thought process at all.
Whenever the US lost at a major championship, it usually happened in the earlier stages of the knockouts.
They sometimes take it lighter and not respecting the teams as they should, and they pay the price.
However, once they reach the Gold Medal game, you aren't beating them and that's a fact.
They simply play with a different kind of edge.
The US have never lost a Good Medal game EVER with NBA players. They only lost 4 games with college players as well, two games in the 50's and that 72 shamockery against Soviet Union, which should have been a win.
So yeah, if you enter the tournament thinking Gold, you'd rather play them earlier.
If you got thinking Silver at best, then yeah, you hope to meet them in the finals.

Schroder might be a head case for some but he’s one of those irrationally confident players and when that shot is on, he turns into a star
