That's the point my man....you don't make that kind of a trade with a rival especially when it was kinda known that the Celtics/Ainge were interested in Tatum....Colangelo got played big time

I wonder what Hinkie would've done? The Sixers ripped another hole in Hinkie before he was fired... err resigned.

Hinkie would've let the draft come to him or find a way to ACQUIRE assets and not give more away....I was farrrr from the biggest Hinkie fan but he never got bent over in a trade like this one....you just don't make that traade with a potential rival/in conference team....very dumb

We're one step from playing Danny Ainge and Scalabrine and still win halves. I'm surprised we can fill the player sheet. Just let the people enjoy the good start here yes? :)

I agree. Like I said, the Celtics are the little engine that could. Basically a bunch of role players squeezing every last drop of production due to high effort, great coaching and a great system.

For as far as they will go Celtics fans should be proud.

Not sure, he couldn't be worse than Anderson even without a outside shot. Not sure if he played in the last series.

They defend different people. Fultz would only be a reasonable sub for TJ. Anderson had some good moments last series. Certainly more than Markelle.

Sixers showing nerves in the first half. No shots falling. Simmons playing a little hesitantly. Hopefully they calm down and pull it together for the second half.

Call me crazy but if I'm Boston I sell high on Kyrie.

Kyrie is a great player but I think his value as seen around the league is higher than his impact on the court. That's not to say he's not a really impactful player (trust me, as a Cavs fan I've seen what he can do on the highest stage) but he gives back some of what he provides on offense on the defensive end, and he doesn't have the creation ability for setting up others, insane efficiency, and off ball play that the true offensive juggernauts have (Curry, Paul, LeBron, Harden, Durant) to make it a non issue. And his injury history doesn't look the best so far.

If you can trade Kyrie, the Sacramento pick, the Memphis pick, and a Boston pick for Anthony Davis, I think you have to do it.

Rozier/Hayward/Tatum/Horford/Davis with Smart, Brown, and Morris off the bench can legitimately contend for a title next year and years to come.

??? Little salty there, I don't see any Celtics fans dropping the confetti over the first half.

Dude was talking endless **** before the series as if the Sixers were some dynasty. Forgive him, he's hurt.

Put him on Rozier and let him figure it out.

If Bledsoe couldn't figure out who Rozier was after 7 games, idk if Fultz could after 1

This thread is disgusting. I'm not going to speak for an entire fanbase because I don't like generalizing an entire group of people unlike some in this thread, but I did not think that the Celtics were some terrible team. It's respectable you guys are competitive given all the injuries. However, I PREDICT that we will win the series. That's not being cocky, that's having an opinion and guessing the outcome because that's what we all can do sitting on the couch. And a prediction that many Celtics fans would agree given the amount of times we have rightfully heard about Hayward and Irving being injured.

Enjoy the game ya'll. Should be a fun series.

Who's overreacting. Lots of work to be done by both teams. Both fanbases need to chill!
Good assessment:

PLO wrote:Tatum played OK - took advantage of a few mismatches - decent on the defensive end. He is what we thought he was going into the season - a technically very proficient player operating close to his career ceiling as a rookie.

Seriously people are gonna go off on a rookie who played a bad half in his first playoffs? Bad games in the playoffs are pretty much guaranteed for rookies if they are fortunate enough to be in the playoffs their first season. Everyone knows Simmons weakness we will see if he can overcom it and figure it out like he did against the Heat.

Couldn't be anymore arrogant, huh? Guess the first half didn't go the way you were claiming it would. What a talent gap.

Dude you've been celebrating like you've won the championship this whole game thread LMAO. Give it a rest dude. Save the confetti.

You’re crazy. Kyries playoff acumen is exactly why Boston traded for him. Look at Horford. Sleep walks through half the regular season and then turns it on when the lights shine bright
