Because they have been hearing all week and getting no respect. Sixers punched raptors in the mouth and brought them back down to earth a bit. Sixers fans have ever right to call out the raptors fans who've been flooding their boards and the GB with disrespect

Basically, If you can't take it, but you can dish it, stfu and move along

Sounds like you are describing a Raptors fan.

Because that's an easy scapegoat. The fact is teams have to foul both of them to stop them. Stop fouling and then whining about it. That goes to every fanbase

Like do people think refs just favor sixers? Sixers would have been out the 2nd round if that's the case. Teams just can't stop sixers stars without fouling them. Deal with it or go cry about it somewhere

These teams just need to stop fouling embiid with their face. They’re just getting in the way of his offensive genius

I guess that's fair. Speaking of the Raps brigade on here, a (now) former mod who was a Raps fan once GB banned me like 7 years ago for having the audacity to say that some Raps fans are delusional lol

EDIT: And said mod wasn't Duffman who I see is both a retired mod and a Raps fan. Don't wanna bring unnecessary heat his way itt lol

Those things will not happen every night, I think they can come back and make it a series. But they need Barnes back.

I mean, they did shoot almost 50/40/82, got to the stripe more than their season average, and had a 3.5:1 asst:TO, so it's not like it was a disastrous night offensively for them. Story here was more about the Sixers efficiency than about the Raptors struggling.

It's more about starting a forward at center because HEAVEN FORBID one of them comes off the bench.

That being said Maxy's season high is maybe 33? Nevermind 38.

But I remember Siakam scoring 30+ game 1 in the finals and never approaching that for the rest of the series. Key points though, Harden + Embiid 11/32.

I'm just saying 76ers have a particularly frustrating game to watch because of their style. But you can't tell me Embiid was getting called fairly this game... Elbow to the head, offensiveve being called defensive with a tirp to the line , etc. Not saying Raps win even with even officiating tho, 76ers just outplayed them today

SEVEN YEARS AGO

And this goy is saying that it is just "one or two posters" that are giving Raps posters on the GB the rep they have.

Ok time to chill. The non-stop bagging on Raps fans has gotten out of control in this thread. This is blatant trolling, baiting of a fan base, and going too way too hard attacking a poster.

"Particularly frustrating game"?

The Sixers tonight had 131 points on 87 possessions. That is like the 3rd highest efficiency of any single game since they have keeping track (26 years).

Yeah that's good but they Need Trent Jr to score, they're not getting very far without that.

If Trent lays more turds like he did tonight, Raps will easily be out in 4.

Anyway not that I say this very often but kudos to Doc, I think he read the game properly with the foul trouble and took the game where it hurt the Raptors the most, also didn't bite with the big wings on Harden. And he played Reed who I've been told is the second coming of Jesus Christ apparently

Tryin to follow you, man, but that was like 8 non-consecutive statements straight

My point was just that the Raptors played well on offense while the Sixers played awesome on offense. It's a lot more likely that the Sixers come down from that cloud than it is that the Raptors meet them there.

Refs were a minor factor in today's game. We got our asses handed to us plain and simple. No need to make excuses.

So...in the spirit of peace (and talking about the game):

It is clear that Nick Nurse has committed to doubling Embiid and selling out to take away the two-man game when Embiid and Harden are at the nail. The proper response to that was for the Sixers to take advantage of the Raptors bending their defense to stop that two-man game by letting Maxey go into full-blown attack mode. For tonight, that seemed to have worked. Harris even did some nice eating (26 points). I can tell you that many Sixers fans are SHOCKED that Doc actually had a gameplan that worked.

Nurse is a really good coach, so I would expect that they will have to make some adjustments to stay more at home so Maxey can't go off. The Raptors will have to choose to either take away the Embiid/Harden two-man game, or stop doubling Embiid on the wing and leave themselves open to the swing-swing. Embiid is also getting better at handling the Raptors double-teams - tonight was the first game I can remember against the Raptors where he did not have a turnover.

The Sixers gameplan was great. If I were Nurse, you have to play more straight-up...and you have to keep doubling Embiid...so you probably take your chances with Harden - which may not be the worst choice. Harden shot 5-for-15, and frequently came up empty on his drives. He did hit a few 3's tonight, which as a Sixers fan was encouraging. However, I think if I am Nurse, I take my chances and see if Harden can beat my defense. The SIxers also held their own on the boards, and kept their turnovers down...which forced the Raptors and their 26th ranked offense to generate offense in the halfcourt. To their credit, they were actually pretty good. The Sixers were just freaking unreal.

This is going to be a long series.
