Series might be over now with Luka instead of Tatum. I think this question has definitely been answered at this point.

That is a good argument but Tatum needs to be way more consistent.

Cs with less turnovers with Luka as the primary ball handler.

Yet Luka actually leads the league in turn overs.....let me think about that one. So Boston will have less turn overs if they add the guy that turns it over more often.....than anyone IN THE NBA-

That’s some 4 D Chess level thinking!

Spoiler:
And Boston goes from being one of the best defensive teams EVER....with a 6’10” athlete that can guard 5 positions....

BoSTON fans come get your boy-

Tatum actually has much higher TOV% than Luka in the playoffs. Luka just has the ball more. If he had Smart, Brown, Horford and Williams, he wouldn't have to do as much. This is no 4D chess.

Also, Boston is a great defensive team because they have great defensive players in all positions. One team has Robert Williams at 5, the other has Dwight Powell/Maxi Kleber. There's only so much a team can do defensively if your rim protection is nonexistent.
This. People trying to compare Mavs unbalanced roster with the Cs pretty balanced one. Not a 4D chess, rather Mahjong on crack.
JT is capable of fantastic games, there’s no denying it. Game 6 against the Bucks was legendary. His series against KD as well.
But right now, having Luka as the primary ball handler and scorer would bring the Cs to a different level IMHO.
Still hoping JT will become more consistent.

Have to applaud the relentless energy of the anti Luka crowd. Same guys that already trashed him before the 2018 draft are still doubling down on their takes.
With new flavor of the day comparisations to young players that are also having great seasons. Trae Young, Ja Morant, even Zion. And now Tatum.

Don't pretend as if Luka fans weren't bullying Trae Young due to their draft day linkage, until he became an All Star.

Y’all kill me disrespecting Lukas team mates Dinwiddie and Brunson while Lebron was playing with Delladova and his dad Delonte West!

Who would you rather have ?

Yet you choose to compare to Harden instead to Lebron...

Y'all killing me comparing Lukas 2 best teamates to someone that played 12 minutes per game in LeBron's 2016 title run

At least he recognizes his faults. Lets hope he has enough time to really put in some extensive work. NT games are coming up soon.

The scariest thing for the rest of the league is a motivated to train Doncic. If he can develop Curry-like stamina he has a chance to be the best player in the league. People say Luka's defense is bad, but to me he often just looks gassed and as a consequence has some lapses. If he trains hardcore... watch out!!

Finally someone get it’s in the same way I do....

The fact that Tatum or Ja or Trae or Booker or Embiid get a single mvp vote over Luka should be insulting to Luka and Luka should take it personally...

Trae and Booker, lmao. But the other guys are pretty good players.

Luka definitely needs to get in better shape though.

Well IDK if we see it exactly the same, but I would put Tatum in Tier 3 in terms of stars while Luka is at the top of Tier 2 with a chance to be in Tier 1 next year (with each tier having 3 stars). At some point Luka will be Tier 1 for many years, the question is when that starts.

Yeah well all got opinions about who is or isn’t on Luka level....my point is....he can shut us all up by coming in in excellent shape and just being great for 82 games and the playoffs....level up Luka or be compared to the other great guys of the era but you won’t be in the real conversation with Kobe MJ Lebron giving us 28 and 8 and 8 on 33% from 3 and 74 from ft line and with bad defense..... that’s not gonna get it after we saw Westbrook with 31,10 and 10 and harden with 36 and 7 etc and Lebron got 30 a game this year on better shooting that Luka. We agree in the sense that a in shape Luka is something we want to see to see if he really that guy

If Luka was on Boston instead of Tatum, this might be a sweep. The fit is also ridiculously good. Hmmm

You know what I mean...and again you just got to narrow isolated stats...in the 82 games of the regular season did Luka lead the league in TOs?

Also Tatum didn’t get 3 blocks yesterday and can guard all 5 positions? So the Boston players saying Tatum is a great defender and their leader are lying - got it

With as bad as Tatum is I’m surprised the Celtics still playing with him and that he was 6th in mvp and all nba 1st team

It looks you might be the last man standing, believing how Tatum has solid series. ;)
