I’m pretty sure the Bucks now have the number one D again but because Giannis is playing in Milwaukee a team no one pays attention to and Gobert already has 2, they’re going to give it to AD cause he’s a laker. Pretty bs, you put on a laker jersey and you get overrated to kingdom come.

I wonder how hard the media would be slurping on Giannis’s D if he was playing like he is currently but a laker instead of a buck

Lopez and Middleton have missed time. So I guess it makes sense, but he's definitely starting to look more confident. Taking 5 attempts a game will do that

It seems to have killed his ft shooting tho. 58%???? How the hell did that happen. He's been solidly in the 70s every year peaking as high as 77

Yeah, it's odd. Shaq giving him his title must be getting to his head

I don't see it continuing. Like you said, he's been solid for years

Giannis is also averaging 0.3 more 3-point makes per game than Larry Bird ever did during any season in his career. :o

If I were to make a list right now, it would look something like this:

Giannis

Luka
Harden

LeBron

That’s it. No one else is in the race right now. As much as I love Siakam and was banging the drum hard for him to be a top 15 player this year when everyone was telling me I was crazy, he ain’t there yet in the conversation. He’s got a long ways to go. If I was going to take any conclusion from the Raptors’ hot start, it’s that COTY is a 2-horse race between Nurse and Carlisle.

Giannis is 10-0 in his last 10 games with the 60 win team that have been built around him for years.
Luka is 9-1 in his last 10 with the lottery team.

Yet most people still put Giannis ahead. Why?

The final 3 for the DPOY last season, via the media vote, were all from those huge markets in Utah, Milwaukee and Oklahoma City. So yes, there’s obviously a huge media bias at play here....

I dont get how so many people believe in the raptors, they have zero to chance to win it all.

Giannis is the only MVP candidate that playing on elite level both ends of the floor, Harden and Luka are bad/average defenders and Lebron you can say he is playing some average/good defense this season but still not on elite level like Giannis. And let's not forget people that defense is the half and equal part of the game.

Giannis impacting the game in so many ways that stats will not tells you.

LeBron and AD will take votes from each other. I can see LeBron winning it, but AD winning it would mean a lot of the LeBron fans to vote for AD (of the guys that have the vote), which i can't see happening.

So it's still a 4 player race imo, with Giannis clearly first right now

You are way far from a lottery team when your bench is so good. It has to be top 3 in the league this season with an amazing coach on top of that to lead it. Last night they single handedly gave Dallas the win.

With the bucks record and being the best team in east by good margin I wonder if they will rest Giannis or limit his minutes before the playoffs

Here they are buddy:

enlighten us.
He is just better in some offensive metrics, while Giannis scores more in less minute and the defense difference is night and day.
Surprisingly even their 3PT % is pretty close ! Please go ahead...

As a Timberwolves fan that was frustrating. Luka was playing poorly [and Okogie is one of the best perimeter defenders in the league so I give him some credit] but I swear the Dallas bench couldn't miss in the 4th.

His minutes don't need limiting. He plays close to 30 mins and already has 7+ games where he played even less because of blowouts.
But if they secure the number one seed early he will definitely get games off like last year.
