The championship trio of Jokic, Gordon and Murray will always keep putting pressure on you but the last 2 games OKC has overcome the pressure, got big stops and hit big shots. They won games I'm not sure they would have won even a week ago. SGA with a big 20 point 2nd half on 75.1% TS.

I hope they can keep it up and close it out, but it's probably going 7. It's easy for people to say "Jokic scored 44 and they still lost so how can they possibly win" but they won game 3 with him scoring 20 points on 8-25. The non-Jokic players scored 93 points on 60 shots that game, 16-30 3pt. Their roleplayer shooting at home will likely be lots better.

Also quick reminder that Dort shot 41% from 3pt this season on 6 attempts per game. I agree with Daigs pulling him at 2-10 last game, but it's not a fluke for him to hit wide open threes.
It's not going 7.......Braun is a bum and The Nuggets bench is ****.

Man you guys gotta stop making excuses for this man.

How are you the best player in the world yet you blaming his teammates. Imagine prime LeBron getting these excuses for those to terrible Cavs roster he was carrying to the Finals every year.

When you are the best player in the world you're supposed to close the deal point blank. You don't get that title and not get the blame. Ask LeBron what it's really like to be the best player in the world. He got blame every year.

His team mates went 1/15 in the 4th. Prime LeBron or MJ isn’t getting that over the line lol

Leave my man Braun alone. He is one of the few Nuggets that play with heart every game. Denver has much bigger problems than Braun not hitting shots.
They have a 40 million man out there giving them 1-7 2 out of 3 games and ball watching on D. I know he is playing with one arm but he was not much better when healthy.

Also the "playoff" Murray is showed up for 1 game these playoffs and called it quit. He is to be paid 50 mill a year.

I cant blame WB too much as he was supposed to be a 7-8th best player on the team, but my gosh the air balls...

as usual, mpj was a waste....time and time again. he epitomizes what kind of player the 3pt shot is producing

MPJ looks like the kind of guy you can replace with a minimum salary vet, but he makes $40m.

Would a guy like Torre Craig look any worse for $3m playing 30 mins?

Awful thread. Jokic was the only guy who could make a shot

Best player in the league about to be sent home early for the 2nd straight year.

Pretty soon we gonna look back at the Jokic era and ask ourselves how did the best player only win 1 championship.

Imagine MJ and LeBron only win 1 championship lmao

I don't know why I'm replying to this. You're the same guy who said Dylan Harper was better than Cooper Flagg, but I can't help myself.

LeBron has one championship on a small market team. And even then, he had Kyrie and Love as teammates, much more than what Jokic has. His other rings came with super teams.

Jokic has....Jamal Murray.

Takes more than one player to win a championship, my friend.

He didnt even have Irving and Love. He fled the team so they can tank and then returned to build another super team when they had lite 3-4 1st picks to play with.

KD gets rightfully trolled for what he did but LBJ was worse.

That’s their formula. OKC playing tentative is beatable. OKC playing purposeful and aggressive offense is unbeatable

SGA has the incredible luxury of coasting most of the game while the rest of his team does the heavy lifting. Then he takes over late in games when Denver's starters are gassed and looks like the hero.

He's extremely fortunate that he's playing a very flawed Denver team that has no shooting around Jokic. Otherwise he would be getting exposed big time right now and the narrative would be very different surrounding him.

Watched a completely different game than me-

Sga is playing as the leader of a team -

He isn’t coasting when he is constantly leading in plus minus and plays defense hard when his shots not falling.

But just like Jokic, he defers when the other guys have it rolling - yet still ended up with 31 a bunch of assist and rebounds and steals in the win…

Punishing SgA and Tatum for having strong teams when there are multiple games the nuggets lose if role players don’t make game winning 3s or dunks is illogical

If you want to see 1 v 1 and that’s the only way to judge a player - watch ufc

Only one of those players gets punished for having a good team. Read any iteration of the MVP thread.

Dominates = played hero ball

Gets everyone involved = they carried him.

Dort has shot 45 percent from three at home on 6.6 attempts per game this season.

He has shot 35.2 percent on the road on 4.9 attempts per game.

It's not really a coincidence to see him pop off at home, I'd like to see him pulled earlier on the road when it looks like his shot isn't going in though.

Prime LeBron and MJ aren't getting excuses because of their teammates either.

You don't get excuses as the best player in the world.

That's the thing I'm trying to figure out here. He loss the game why are we praising him in a losing effort. The standard has changed. Losers don't get credit.

Jokić 17-25 FG (68% FG)
Rest of a team: 23-72 ( 34%)

Watching roster make up around Jokić is pure crime against basketball.

36 years old Westbrook, Murray, Gordon, okey-ish Braun, Porter who is clueless on defense and now can't hit anything on offense.

Pretty much not a single other guy from that roster belongs to nba.

I struggle to see what hold Jokić from not leaving them other than blind loyalty.

On top of that firing coach, firing GM and all the off court drama. Pure trainwrack of franchise held by greatness of one man.

If he knew they were missing he should have set them up to assist him so he could get the buckets. Don’t you know….

Yea, should hold their hands and guide them slowly through strange new move called: layup.

Probably should have told Porter that goal of 3 point shot isn't to miss iron by a foot
