There are going to be people hating on a player no matter what and for any reason they can come up with. No need to act like a 5 year old and get butthurt over what maybe 5% of people on this site thought without seeing KCP play a single game in the NBA, BRAH.

Finally, he was getting so much hype in the summer league, even drawing comparisons to Dirk. Not hating, I'm just saying. Maybe he gets more PT from here on out.

What do you think, who's better prospect between KCP, ben mac and hardaway?

My redraft right now, without noel and cjmc

1. Giannis - highest potential, looks way better then expected
2. MCW - interchangabke with greek freak
3. Oladipo - still not sold on him, looks like a bit better Salmons&MashedPotato
4. Adams - impressive numbers in limited minutes, Marc Gasolush potential
5. Burke - ideal position for him, but produces solid numbers and looks good

Big dropoff, KCP, ben mac and hardaway in next group, maybe zeller

Jazz are 9-11 with Burke starting, that's .450, and they had one of most difficult schedules in December, yet helped the Jazz get several wins, while putting up 15ppg 3rpg 6apg (3.1 assists/turnover ratio). What else does he need to do to get some love? Hell he has a couple of game winners too. I guess I can accept Giannis, he's young and upside, but Oladipo is the age, playing worse, Adams is doing a good job, but does he have more potential than Burke? AT worse, I can't see Burke before 4th, and IMO he deserves to be top 3 now, maybe 2nd, I'm not sold on Giannis yet, though I'm not going to lie, he has a special body, but he's very raw, so he can be another player who doesn't meet high expectations or he can turn out to be very good.

Does it matter where he's placed? Stats as a rookie does not matter one bit unless you're awful. Look at all the slow starters / minutes distribution, etc. Burke is a good rookie and he's playing well, I don't know why there's a whole Giannis / Burke war between who is the best rookie in this thread. It literally doesn't matter until the team is contending (and what I mean by that, is that it's useless trying to compare game by game who is better when all rookies this year are going to have ups and downs), Mike James put up 20 on the Raptors in the last decade and he was old as hell - so again, as long as they have SHOWN something, and a lot of the rookies have, it's good to be excited about. I almost hate threads like these since everybody is going to jump to conclusions after a day / week / season / etc.

All I know is, Oladipo isn't going to win it. He had a superb last 2 games, then plays 17 minutes tonight. He had 8 points in 11 minutes, got benched the ENTIRE 3rd quarter, played 5 mins of the 4th and then got benched (the whole team did) for scrubs. I really hate Jacque Vaughn. I am still really happy with Oladipo considering he has 0 plays ran for him and he's playing a new position and can care less if he wins ROY or not - I'd almost rather he not so he can surprise people for years to come.

CJ McColumn to play a couple of D-League games on the 3rd and 4th of Jan to help get his conditioning and confidence back.

Toure Murry will be one of the nice surprises this year. Undrafted rook. Plays like he belongs in the NBA.

Good size, good vision, has some speed, a decent looking jumper and a is tenacious defender. Knicks should play him a lot of minutes at the point.

Olynyk can score he just needs to improve his defence. His injury hasnt helped his progression. Think he will still be a solid pick though.

I only watched the first half of the Houston game but he looked pretty good. Took a bad shot or two but part of that seems to be overall unorganized NY offense (everyone was just standing around). Really needs to work on jump shoot and free throws though, otherwise it might be Uzoh 2.0

Wasn't Mccollum supposed to be undersizd? He doesn't look like that in the videos at all.

Or maybe D-league is undersized as a whole. :D

Yeah it's the whole league in general.. I didn't watch yesterday but in Fridays game he was playing the 3 next to dee bost and Pierre Jackson. Still though he plays tall and has a high release, where as a guy like lillard looks smaller because he plays low to the ground and has a low release.

I think cj has a very polished dribble drive game but he still has work to do on his outside jumper and especially on d. Some blazer fans are skeptical of what he's gonna contribute but I think by playoff time he could be the first guy off the bench. He's gonna help Portland a ton with his ability to attack off the bounce
