It was a homer take. He has no idea how good Towns vision is.

And you very clearly have no idea how good Jokic's vision is. I should have known posting that article in here was a bad idea.

let's put this way: This year Jokic seems a better passer than Towns (if you don't like advance stats the raw stats should be enough: 189 assist vs 161 assist despite less touch and minutes).
Maybe next year Towns will be an elite big man in that category but I personally doubt about it, simply because he has too much offensive burden to carry...

And to be fair, that was not a homer take, Towns is the raising star and he will dominate the NBA one day but that doesn't mean that Towns is better than Jokic (or other young big-man) in every aspect of the game...

KAT is very very good passer The problem is Wolves can't spread the floor because they don't have shooters - Rubio, Wiggins, Prince/Lavine, Dieng were starters during the year. Only Lavine is a good shooter.

Yeah, Denver instead is the land of shooter... Both teams have the exact same 3P% (33,8%). However few of the Jokic's assist came of the post, so spreading the floor isn't so important to him.
I repeat for the last time: I'm not saying that KAT is a bad passer (or have bad court vision), I'm saying Jokic is better in this particular aspect of the game and his advance stats are awesome.

I didn't want to make a comparison between Jokic and KAT, but there is a reason because their advance stats are pretty similar and it isn't because "advanced stats can be flawed". Malone use Jokic's strengh very well and the advance stats show that...

Even if KP reaches his potential Towns will still be the better player. Towns is what everyone thought AD was going to be. He is a big man with such a board skill set that makes him one of a kind. KP will never be the defender or rebounder Towns is. KP may even end up the better offensive player but he will never be the better all around player imho. Barring injury god forbid.

KP is the most talanted defensive big in this draft. Towns is not near him in that aspect.

Lavine: 38.9% 3P
Dieng: 30.0% 3P
Shabazz: 28.9% 3P
Prince: 17.4% 3P
Martin: 36.9% 3P (less than 1/2 season when KAT played only 20mpg)
Overall: 4.6 / 13.7 33%
Without Martin: 3.6 / 11.1 32%
Lavine and 1/2 season Martin are the best shooters. The rest of the team is trash.

Gallinari: 36.4% 3P
Harris: 35.4% 3P
Mudiay: 31.9% 3P
Barton: 34.5% 3P
Nelson: 29.9% 3P

Except Nelson and Mudiay, others are really good shooters.

Overall Nuggets's best players shoot 3% higher on twice more 3 point attempts than Wolves best players.

Exactly, if anything I thought Towns would be the better offensive player due to his post moves, and Porz the defensive beast who can stretch the floor. This is not to say Towns wont be a good defender either.

If Jokic has any clear advantage over KAT, it's definitely passing. He averaged more assist per game while playing 21 mpg, compared to KAT's 32mpg. Jokic has better vision and feel for passing. In games he played 30+ mpg he averaged 3.3 apg. Which is damn good for a rookie, has the potential to become a 5 apg big man.

Jokic has great vision (better than Towns), great defensive position (despite he hasn't good blocks' number he does a lot a good thing on defense). Towns is a better overall player no doubt about it but Jokic has different strenght than Towns (despite they are both pf/c their style of play is very different) and Malone use him very well so the stats are pretty similar...
Basketball is not only 1vs1.

In 2-3 years KP will be better than all these guys, his defensive play is better than KAT's. Offensively he has more range as well, soon enough people will see his full potential.
