Curry passes Lillard tonight into
the top 5 with another ~25/5/5++ on 70% TS and the win. The Warriors are behind the Spurs and Blazers in the standings for now, but ahead in net and SRS, and Curry is simply better than Lillard. Definitely the higher MVP candidate at this point turning around this prior 15 win team into a legit playoff opponent in the West (they would be HCA in the East).

Nobody else matters at this point.

The idea that Lebron is ahead of everyone is both laughable and more importantly, very very stupid.

He has good numbers and good team record.. who else besides Embiid can say that? Jokic? No. Kawhi or PG13? Not with their injuries and minute restrictions. Giannis or Harden? Everyone knows they’re frauds as and won’t reward them.

They're the 3 seed with a worse differential than the Suns, and he does not have top 3 numbers in the league. To act like he's #2 and there is a chasm to the rest is laughable.

There simply is no player with a clear MVP case right now, period.

It's EmVBiid (period).

This is just based on who's been the best in basketball in the regular season and it's Joel. NO ONE is matching his sheer dominance majority of the season offensively like him AND...

Unlike LeBron or Jokic....he's also in the running for DPOY. Dominant on both ends. When they catch up on that end they'll be in the conversation with him.

He has no case as the best offensive player in the league, and is in no way in the running for DPOY. In fact he is second on his team in DPOY candidacy.

I would probably very reluctantly vote him as the lead for MVP at this point, but pull it together.

Differential? Who cares about that crap? They’re #3 in the LEAGUE, not just Western Conference.

It's really a curious situation that the (by far) best team of the season doesn't have any player that you could name in the MVP race. Maybe they should make it a team award this year... But on the realistic candidates:

Embiid is at the top for me. He has the numbers and the team record.

Before I had Jokic there with him, but his team is currently 8th seed in the west. No matter how you look at it, that won't cut it. He dropped to the second group:

Lebron
Curry/Kawhi
Lillard/Jokic

Roughly in that order, but with veeery little separation.

The other candidates are ruled out by team record (Luka), team setup (Harden) or narrative (Giannis, Harden again).

Giannis isn’t ruled out. Voters have become more data driven in their approach and most understand that it’s a regular season award. He’s going to get some push.

Denigrating fanbases with labels such as 'bronsexuals' brings down discussion and is prohibited. Your repeated trolling and baiting has earned you some time away from the Board. Come back with a better attitude and an improved way to respectfully debate with posters you disagree with.

Is there a way to switch out KD and put on Harden?
Thanks for all the great memories, LeBron! The show must go on! #Heatnation

Current Vegas odds have it Lebron>Embiid>Jokic>Curry, none as the odds on favorite over the field.

Exactly, the Bron stans like to make up narratives that differ from what our eyes are telling us. He's declined significantly and they say that ITS THE BEST HE'S EVER PLAYED! It's laughable.

Definitely Lebrons worst stats since his rookie season.
