I'm gonna take Thunder in 5 here, with a small chance of it going 6.

The Mavs just aren't the same team. Kidd is older and slower, Dirk isn't playing like Jesus Christ, and they're missing Chandler and Barrea.

Mavs win game 3, and might win game 4 or 5, but will inevitably lose in 5-6. OKC has the easiest 1st/2nd round of all the top seeded teams out west, so there's a good chance they will make it to the WCF again.

Yes. I have Mavs winning in 6.

And I'm never wrong!

Sure you weren't. Like when you consistently hyped up Durant for MVP in the MVP thread? EIther way I see it, your Lakers are going down to whovever they face in the 2nd round LOL.

I'm never gonna feel confident about this series, even if we get up 3-0

I still have nightmares of Dirk Nowitzki hitting 3,000 fade away one legged jumpers in a row

I was tempted to go Thunder in 5, or even a sweep, but Dirks gonna Dirk, so I went Thunder in 6.

Why do you think that? I would say they have the hardest.

OKC: Mavs, Lakers (or Nuggets)
SAS: Jazz, Clippers / Grizzlies
Lakers: Nuggets, OKC/Dallas

No offense to Jazz or Nuggets fans, but the Thunder are the only top seeded West team that has to play two legitimate championship contenders in rounds 1/2

Memphis or LAC would be tougher matchups for OKC than LAL.

OKC has the toughest 1st round matchup, but the easiest second round matchup (for them). Their team is built to play and beat the Lakers. If the Nuggets happen to advance, their pace suits the Thunder as well.

The Lakers may be a bigger name than the Clips or Memphis, and even in a vacuum the Lakers might be better than either of those two teams, but for OKC, the Lakers are the easiest of the three.

If the Thunder get past Dallas they are not getting past the Lakers. How do you figure OKC is built to beat the Lakers ?

The way the Reigning Champs are being treated in the GB is saddening.

Seriously, even if they do win the series, I dont really understand how that can be a upset. They are the Champs, sure the Season was a frustrating one and there was alot of unconsistent basketball being played But now the cancer is out (Odom) and its time for the seniors to step up and show what they are capable off.

This is a team that has the players to get the job done.. two 20k+ point scorers, one of the greatest point guards of all time, cutch shooter in Terry, Matrix. What Dallas lack is probably their Big men, BUT.. Wright is more than capable of giving energetic minutes. It will be interesting to see how our Center rotation will be during the series, and I think that might determine the results.

As someone mentioned earlier, I really hope we make Westbrick a jumpshooter, and Im also hoping Marion can keep Durant at bay... If things go as I think it will, Mavs should really win this in 6. I say we go 1-1 first tow, then get 2... 3-1, thunder takes 1... 3-2, and we finish it off in game 6.

GO MAVS.... ~!~~~~!!!!!

explosive scorers in the backcourt, a couple guys(Thabo/Harden) who can make Kobe work for everything as well as 3 big's(Ibaka/Collison/Perkins) who can make life difficult for Bynum/Gasol.

Even if the Mavs plays well, if Thunder is playing close to their potential, Mavs have no chance in this series. Mavs can only win the series if Thunder plays subpar and Dallas brings their A game. Thunder has the more talented team but I feel they are more likely to crumble and choke. They need to blowout the Mavs and put them away early. Mavs will pull out wins in close games against the Thunder not because they have better closers but because I feel that they have the mental edge.
