the first time i saw him play in europe i immediately thought that he is more suited for NBA than euro game

just enough crazyness and athletcism for a euro head that he will not go unnoticed

plus hes got size and quickness, lethal combo

with all them other guys, minny is definitely my favorite team right now

Just a reminder:

The Russian guard has been on the Timberwolves' scouting radar since last September, when president of basketball operations David Kahn watched him play three games in Lithuania. Kahn took credit for discovering Shved and initiating the Timberwolves' interest in him, and he said he was impressed immediately with his ability to take the ball where he wanted offensively and with his on-court creativity and imagination.

Thats from this summer, when the signing was announced.

That's a heck of a find by Kahn.

Yeah, too bad Kahn's not allowed to talk to the press anymore, otherwise we would've heard about how Shved is a second coming of Ginobili already.

Shved is a facilitating 2-guard in the mold of a Ginobili.

No. He is a shooting guard who can handle the ball and facilitate. Not a back up point guard.

If someone is saying that Shved can play the pg spot
then he hasn`t seen him playing over here in Europe.

He was a back up point guard in CSKA. He was the starting point guard in the Russian NT.

In any case, when he played in Europe he was a point guard. He can play both guard positions though so it's not a big deal.
