Funny how the Knicks beating the Spurs in that infamous game this year screwed BOTH teams!

Doubt it. The Kings need more "ready-now" players not more rookies. The #2 will most likely be Okafor and he's a terrible fit next to Cousins.
If anything, the Kings will either trade down or keep the pick & choose Winslow (much better fit).

I'm just glad the Sixers got the 3rd pick. They're my low-key bandwagon team until Seattle gets a new team.

The odds of this happening are not good. History tells us that one of the four will bust, unless this draft is on par with 1996.

I dont get the hate between this fans though. Yeah we got the #2, but I'm not really, really excited about this draft. I think all top 4 would be servicable to whoever picks them but there is no clear cut "superstar" in this draft imo.

According to your logic, Tim Duncan doesn't deserve any respect.

New York City don't have a pick next year either, so they have to wait TWO YEARS for another chance at the lottery, and when Isiah Thomas takes over, they will never have another high draft pick ever again!
The Knicks have no business masquerading as an NBA team. Contract them, and put them out of their misery. Move them to Seattle.

Haters gonna hate. The Knicks will just need to build patiently, there are lot of positives regardless of dropping two spots in the draft lottery.

Re: T'Wolves, Lakers, & Sixers Get Top 3 Picks In The 2015 Draft
Intriguing order
A few thoughts...
First, the Wolves have been a very lucky team recently. After a mediocre season, they somehow luck into Andrew Wiggins and also draft another high potential player in Zach LaVine (plus destroyer of worlds Anthony Bennett... ok, maybe not). Now they're in position to draft Karl Towns, who is the ideal pick for their future. His still developing offense won't be a problem: he can be brought along at his own pace, since the Wolves already have Wiggins as a go-to-scorer, but they'll desperately need his presence at the rim which is exactly what they've missed all these years. With Wiggins and Towns as a foundation the Wolves become one of the very few teams in the league you could credibly imagine putting together a championship level cast down the road. That would be a first in... well, their entire history.
Second, Okafor has the opportunity to dominate statistically if picked by the Lakers. They have no one with a tenth of his talent at his position, and he's a great fit for an old school team like the Scott Lakers. The team will continue to struggle, though, as he's not a franchise difference maker at this point due to his lazy defense... This is actually a blessing in disguise, since it might get them another top pick the following year. Best case scenario, if Okafor realizes he actually has a 7-6 wingspan to go along with his 270 pounds, he becomes a "verticality" player who's a net positive on defense, which could make him the next great Lakers center instead of the next Eddy Curry. For that though he'll need a brutal coach who doesn't tolerate lack of effort on the defensive end.
Third, the Sixers are also an incredibly lucky franchise (perhaps the luckiest of all if you look at this draft in a broader context). After picking Noel and Embiid, they get to be almost certain they can select D'Angelo Russell, who is the most perfect fit you could imagine, and the player they wanted all along. I truly believe he's an instant 18-5-4 player - probably the safest pick to become Rookie of the Year. If him and Embiid both pan out, stay healthy and stay together, the league had better watch out.
Fourth, the Knicks are the big question mark. Most likely they pick Mudiay, who has enormous upside but is also a risky pick... Because the risk is already there anyway, I wouldn't be surprised if they go for a reach based on potential, for example Porzingis (if his stock keeps rising) or Winslow. Basically, they could be the big loser of the draft... but they could also surprise everybody and pick the best player in what is shaping up to be a very good draft at the top.

we get mudiay, so what lmao its not a great day for lakers fans but more so a great day for everyone who hates the knicks. lets be realistic before the emergence of towns and russell it was 1a 1b for okafor/mudiay the top 4 are all talented, does it suck? of course, but for me it is what it is.
if this is the consolation prize so be it.

D'Angelo Russell to me feels like a star, but I am not so sure he's ready to jump into the league and be a stud. He's got a lot of physical work to do first. NBA is a man's league and he better get in the weight room.

Lakers pick goes to Philly next year, with a top 3 protection. Philly could (probably will) have 4 picks in the first round next year. Let that sink in for a moment.

I swear on everything in the world Im going to set my dog of fire if the Lakers take Deangelo. I cannot live with every single OSU player getting drafted by teams I hate. Ohio State is like the Steelers and Patriots own personal farm system.
