Cavs or Irving have to squash this soon to save face, or else, risk getting booed a la Kobe circa 2007. If he's not traded, that is.

Whoa, Ky on a different team would be interesting. I would like to see him pair up with Giannis somehow. Not realistic but I want to see Giannis with another star.

Kyrie/Frye/Shumpert for Melo/O'Quinn/Lee - and probably multiple first round picks.

Why would the Cavs do this trade?

That's an awful return for them.

No. Gilbert was ready to trade Kyrie for PG & Bledsoe. Pacers backed out.

If Irving really wants to move, he's a complete douche for not notifying the team earlier.

They could have got PG or Butler. Now, they likely won't get anything of value for him.

Makes me think Lebron told Irving he's leaving for the Lakers next season and now Irving wants off the ship.

The Cavs big three are all unhappy in Cleveland. At least they got that one championship.

Kyrie must have gotten in his feelings when LeBron went to check out Lonzo Ball in Vegas.

I strongly suspect that the Cavs aren't going to honor his request. At least not before the trade deadline.

Kyrie is good but he's not that good to give up that.

Oh no this is the Terry Rozier situation again.
IT is expiring, 29 and 5'9". Nets pick is a (slight) gamble. Kyrie Irving is a guarenteed star who's crazy young.

29 and only getting better. Sure the Nets pick is a slight gamble but no I would not trade both just for Kyrie. I don't think Kyrie is hardly that much better than IT imo. I mean anyone would want Kyrie on their team but if I'm the Celtics, I would rather keep the pick and see what type of contract IT wants.

Donald Trump on Dan Gilbert: “A great friend of mine, a huge supporter”

Maybe that's it. Working in a positive way with Trump puts Gilbert in Donald Sterling territory in some circles.

Irving is holding them back

kyrie probably knows lebron is gone next summer and wants out before all that mess. The cavs have spent the last 3 years using their assets to win a title, so when lebron leaves he also leaves a franchise that is bone dry in that department and unable to start an immediate rebuild.

Basically Kyrie doesnt want to be the next Mo Williams or dwade.
