Going to the Knicks is one way that he can finally elevate himself above the Lebron media train. Lebron is still the leading vote getter this year but KD in NYC, with all the media, might finally get the attention he craves to jump into the lead dog spot.

It would be good for the NBA if he goes to NY. He would be "King" if he goes there.

This is definitely becoming like the "LeBron to LA" story last year. Like at this point, people would be more surprised if he doesn't end up in NY lol.

1. KD agrees to sign in NY for less than his max
2. Kawhi agrees to sign in NY for less than his max
3. NY trades the young'ins and plenty of picks for AD
4. MLE to Jordan to play C, then sign on plenty of ring chasers an g-leagers to fill out the roster.
5. Profit.

Kawhi go to Clips.

KD max in NY, Irving max in NY.

They draft Zion or similar top 4.

Jordan gets 60x4 in NY.

I just laugh at the notion that he's to somehow "enhance" his legacy by leading a Knicks team to a 7th or 8th seed, get bounced in the 1st round, and it'll somehow be better than winning more rings. Sure, whatever helps people sleep at night I guess.

If he goes to the Knicks it will be with another star player such as Kawahi or Kyrie. Add the #1 pick and you have a contender.

You can say that for every team wth cap space every year. When has that really come into fruition?

Not every team has a shot at the #1 pick. That's a difference maker.

Durant already on record saying he's not taking anything less than the max

I kind of tend to think that it is a bit of an overstatement to say that anything has 110% certainty.

Good for the warriors that their best player leaves?

Thats your opinion, but im sorry, your opinion sucks.

If you think the warriors are gonna be "Just like 2015" if KD leaves. You have another thing coming.

Curry is not their best player against LeBron in the finals. Otherwise he is.

What super-max is that? Any team can offer him the same as they would any other 10+ year FA, 4yr/$160M (about). The Warriors can offer 5yr/$200+M.

Warriors can offer 221million.

He can easily sign an extension and get the 5th year. I don’t think the 5th year’s matters anymore for players of his caliber in the super max era.

Maybe from a PR standpoint, okay. But from a cap standpoint? The Warriors are screwed if KD leaves unless the Warriors somehow get a S&T out of it, which is remote under the current CBA.

Hey KD, first thanks for posting. Now, please walk me through your logic here. In the thread below, clyde21, myself, and two others worked out and posted the w/l records with various roster combinations, including you (and Green/Klay but no Curry), and with Curry (and Green/Klay but no Durant):

viewtopic.php?f=6&t=1691849&start=180

Pgs. 5, 9 and 10 have the relevant numbers. Basically, it's .750 when Curry plays, and 550 when he doesn't...regardless of the other variables. How are you "obviously the best player" when the team seems to win just fine without you but doesn't win nearly as much without Curry?

Still with me, KD? Regarding your "impressive" 2018 finals MVP, while awed of course, I do have a question: Game 1 was the only really crucial game, and Curry was much better--tying the game and giving the Warriors the lead with a clutch shot 20 seconds before the end. In Game 2 as well, Curry was better, closing out the game with 17 points in the 4Q. Now, you kicked butt in the Game 3 and Game 4 blowouts--and so got your second fmvp--but do you really think you were the "obviously" best player for GSW in that series?

See, this is my main issue with you--you're a great (top 3) player, but until you joined another MVP and multiple all-stars, you did kind of disappear in a number of important match-ups. E.g., you went over three years without beating LeBron James in a head-to-head matchup, a streak that included Christmas Day when the Cavaliers topped Golden State (and the newly acquired Durant). At that point, you were 4-18 in your career against LeBron James. Heck, until you left for GSW, there was only one franchise (Boston) that James averaged more points against than your Oklahoma City, and you received most of that punishment. In your 17 regular season games before joining GS, James averaged 29.4 points on 52 percent shooting from the floor and 38 percent from behind the three-point line, while putting up seven rebounds, seven assists, and 2.2 steals per game. You, however, averaged a bit less.

So, yeah, as a delusional basketball fan, I guess I just don't get how you're "obviously" the best player on that team? Could you please explain? Thanks!
