What's Rondbae up to lately?

It's been a rough year for him. The team was experimenting with him back at SF for a bit and encouraging him to take threes, but the perimeter development just hasn't been there and Atkinson refuses to adjust the principles of his system (whether right or wrong, I can't really say)...

All in all RondBAE's PER of 11.9 this year makes me sad :(... But it's still 48.75% higher than Kevin Knox's 8.0  (j/k)

In seriousness, I like RHJ but think he is an odd man out there. Next year, I like him on the Mavs where his rebounding and facilitating strengths from the forward positions would be valued.

Knox has been hot garbage lately. The book isn't shut on him but there are a few more chapters on his mental preparedness. He seems like a nice young man and has a ton of talent but I am always skeptical of guys where motor/focus/defense is a question.

Agreed, I think Rondae has a place in the league but it won't be with the Nets. He's been the odd man out for a while, his energy is infectious but he's just not a system fit... He's also the last remnant of the Billy King era.

As for Knox... Given his age I think he'll need another 2 years before you can make an educated prediction one way or another on how his career goes. In an ideal situation I don't think he should be playing all of these minutes right now though... The team needs to break some of his bad habits and build him up (a la D'Angelo Russell) not reinforce them (by not addressing them).

Myles Turner, but Pacers must not count.

Knicks are a mess from top to bottom still. But this kid got some serious potential, as a defender.

I hate the Knicks more then most people and this kid could be scary in 2-3 years. I watched him against 76ers and he played Joel Embiid tough as nails.

16/13/4 in 22 minutes today. He played great all february too. How much of a sample size do we need before we say this is not a fluke?

No way it's a fluke. He's gonna be a legit defensive anchor for years to come.

When he played, he shut the paint down. What does his defense have to do with a team shooting lights out from 3?

Cause clearly the Knicks only put him out there to play 1 vs 5. :)

Yes, we also saw him block 4 or 5 shots and contest a ton of others.

I wish this kid would turn out to be a bum. (In-laws all bunch of Knicks fans) but this kid can play. If they get Zion next to him and Durrant? It will be one he'll of a block party.

Then again it's not going to happen, if it does? I might as well commit suicide now. Family dinners will be the end of me.

If he just played one year in college, he would have surpassed Bamba in the draft.

This dude is excellent.

Let me tell you Knicks fans, like with Capela for years people are going to yap about how he can't create his own shot. Doesn't matter. All he needs is a guard who knows how to use him in a PnR and he will put up 17-18ppg, which is 3rd scorer numbers. Points are points, and players who don't require the ball to put up that many points are PERFECT role players for a contender.

Look forward to his development, hopefully he's a super hard worker off the court like Clint.
