GS is going to be close to playing 1 game in a 2 week span (13 days and playing 1 game). I get they want to drag this out, but damn this is feeling pretty excessive. We wait 5 days for any NBA game, now wait another 3 days for the next game. I feel like the playoffs are this crawl now.

I feel you but coming from a GSW fan it seems kind of weird. Every extra day helps them to get back main guys earlier in the series.

Extra days means free load management for Kawhi as well.

that's right.

more Alfonzo McKinnie.

that is their #1 adjustment for the Warriors Dynasty in the NBA FInals. Their BEST idea at how to make the warriors look better in game 2.

Alfonzo McKinnie.

and these are the two most pro-GSW commentators out there.

That would scare me if I were a warriors fan.

Tmac is not happy at all that the Raptors are winning in the finals...wtf is wrong with this guy. Is he salty or something? At least Jalen Rose seems happy.

That's taking it too far. I think the Raptors had a dream start to the series, yet I don't expect FVV/Siakam and Gasol to shoot over .600 from the field and score 70 points a game. I also would expect Green to do at least slightly better next game, he was 2 of 9. If Iggy plays I expect him to do better, too.

eh I think a dream start would have seen Kawhi and Kyle scoring more and Curry and Klay scoring less.

Everyone's darling team (GS) looking like they gonna lose in 5 games here.

Media: "they need more help outside of Klay/Steph" -- unless KD and Cousins are actually playing.. that is not happening reliably.

Warriors will lose this series. The Warriors lack of size is in impactful contrast to Toronto's balance of different sizes they can go with, and better depth at this point. They also are not as healthy right now, or generally dynamic and reliable offensively past the bigger names.. more lower-bench guys across the board, while still capable at their own level, but not a group like in the past they had where it was more of a mix past the starters, to contribute consistently.

This ain't the Blazers too...

Eh Kawhi and Lowry had bad games, Raps gave up too many rebounds, and the Warriors (Curry) got a lot of cheap fouls in the bonus. Raptors didn't play their best at either end.

On the otherhand who do the Warriors have offensively? 6'3 Curry as the only off the dribble threat and catch&shoot Klay (that can't really dribble)? Not enough talent without KD to hang. This is Toronto that runs elite defenders, not undersized mediocre Portland.

I think some Raptor fans are getting ahead of themselves - There is absolutely no cause for concern to lose a game this early in the series, I think both teams know that. Both teams have a ton of playoff experience and Champions on their teams, so I'm interested to see how both adjust for Game 2.

I'm hoping we can take care of business at home and send this back to The Bay with some pressure on them.

Ain't a series until someone loses at home. Cliche, but oh so true.

As a Raptor fan...I am still very respectfully scared of GState, but also believe they can (and must) win on Sunday.

Kerr was completely outcoached but I still like the gameplan to double Kawhi.. especially because the Warriors recovery in the halfcourt is unreal.

The raps really hurt them in transition.. I wonder if Nurse will make small adjustments to break the doubles in case our guys aren't in the same form as Game 1

Fellow raps fans y'all should heed our teams mentality. Never too high, never too low. One game at a time. Let's not get ahead of ourselves. Warriors may be hurt but they are still dangerous and they've won championships.

This may have been pointed out already but the ratings took a huge dip for Game 1.

ESPN said Friday that the Game 1 of the Toronto-Golden State series drew a 10.1 overnight rating, the lowest for Game 1 of a title series in a decade -- though all the numbers come with a serious catch. Canadian viewership does not count toward the metered-market ratings formula used in the U.S., and it was the most-watched NBA game in Canada's history.

Some Warriors fans were actually trying to make the argument about a week ago that NBA Finals ratings were high in recent years because of Golden State. I argued that Lebron was the reason there's been such high interest in the Finals.

Now we see what the numbers look like w/o Lebron in the picture.....a 10 year low.

The ratings woudn't be as bad if they were counted the same this year as every other year. They're not because of Canadian networks. But even so game 1 is still somewhat down. There is definitely a 'non-lebron' effect going on.

Doesn't matter what the Canadian numbers are. They didn't count the Canadian numbers in previous years either.

The fact remains that for US viewers Game 1 ratings were at their lowest point in 10 years.

Not surprising, since a lot of East Coast fans don't care who wins, and the game starts after 9:00 for them--why would they bother?
