Classic SLAM mag cover. Still got my copy from 2002.

Grabbed the tshirt from the SLAM website as well.

Man I wish I had that shirt! 8-) I loved some of those teams, even the (really) young and developing 30-52 season.

They still got 'em on the SLAM magazine website...but I think its just mediums available.

DMiles, Lamar Odom, QRich, Maggette, Keyon Dooling, Elton Brand. That was some fire.

Thanks bro and congrats to Clips fans on this forum and abroad. You guys have been treated with little respect here, notably from Lakers fans so If there's any consolation, it's that he didn't go there.

The Raptors will slide but not to the bottom as many haters here are projecting. We have faith in Masai and will soldier on with our heads high.

I’m happy for Kawhi, he now has a chance to win a 3rd title with a 3rd team. He will always be a hero at Jurassic Park and he will rightfully receive a standing ovation of epic proportions when he returns next year. He will forever be my favourite player of all-time and I know a lot of Raps fans feel the same way.

Some of us will also be cheering for the Clippers next season.

And life goes on.

I'm pretty sure if you asked 100 raps fan last year "would you trade derozan+jv for a championship?", the answer would be 99% yes. So I don't see how raps fans should feel sorry. If we kept those players, we would probably have 0 championships, but like 2 more eastern final appearances. I take that championship all day. People trying to hate on a championship are just being losers, no other word for it. If we suck in like 10 years maybe, but thats pretty much impossible since we have good ownership.

The Raptors had their parade, so no, I don't feel badly. They knew the risk.

After taking **** from us Raptors fans the past few weeks I'm shocked you still feel bad for us.

You are a cool chap. I hope you guys have fun next season the same way we did.

nope.

Why? They won the NBA Championship.

Kawhi's heart was always in LA. Prior to Spurs-saga, Toronto randomly scooped in and got him out of no where.

They just won the title. They have a great young player in Siakam and a very competent GM. It definitely sucks that Kawhi walked away but Toronto will be absolutely fine. They have proven time and time again that they can develop talent.

The Clippers were always on my list of teams that I wouldn't mind seeing win it all. I really hope they do....in about 5 years...At least I'm honest about it.

They're a 25 year old franchise with a championship. They could be the Utah Jazz, Denver Nuggets, or Phoenix Suns. They're more than four decades old and have gotten close. Fans of those teams are facing the very real possibility of seeing the LA Clippers, perpetual joke of the NBA, winning a title before their favorite teams.

I've always liked the Clippers but have to admit that I can't root for them so soon or if I'll be able to next season. The sting is still pretty strong.

There mere fact that this thread was made is just embarrassing. If Raptors fans want to complain about Kawhi then they better be willing to say that they wish they never traded for him in the first place and give up the entire championship that they won. He said from the beginning that he wanted LA. He gave the Raps a chance to trade for Paul George. They did not. So he left. How is that unfair? He played hard every game. He could have raised hell in Toronto like AD did in New Orleans. He could have said that he wants to protect his long term health and demanded another trade. But he didn't he bought them a championship, their only championship. As far I'm concerned, if any Raptor fan wants to complain about Kawhi, they better be simultaneously saying that they wish they never traded for him in the first place. Any fan who says that they would still trade for Kawhi but at the same time hate on the dude for leaving is a joke. Spurs fans have much more reason to feel spurned than any Raptor fan. You guys literally lucked into a championship. Be grateful.

I'd still say its worth it. The goal is to win a championship and they accomplished that. They would never win one with DeRozan anyways
