I'm sure they are if you can match it. But that's another $8M that a team has to come up with in salary. It's going to be damn tough for a lot of teams to come up with an assortment of $50M in salary that doesn't gut the team.

Philly has a 15 million trade exception I think

There are rules on trade exceptions though. Isn't there a rule about the amount of players that can be traded in combination with a TPE?

I'd have to see what the NBA says. Has there ever been a case where teams worked out a simultaneous deal as an ordered deal instead? If not, I'd wager there's a reason for that, and quid pro quo might be illegal or frowned upon by the league.

The 76ers can't use their TPE in any trade involving Harden, as his salary exceeds the TPE. They could potentially use if for Tucker, however, I am uncertain if a quid pro quo deal such as that would be allowed.

Simmons for Harden needs to be done by the weekend. Let's move on already.

The trade that we all need right now is Beal for Harden. Lift everyone's spirits.
When will we just change the name of 25 of the 30 teams to the Washington Generals?

Please advise….

I think the hold up is that Houston wants three picks and Phil wants tucker

Maybe... how the hell is Philly going to match salary? That's $50M that Philly has to match, what combo of players are they going to use to get there?

Tucker's not attached to Harden IMO. But Simmons & Wall on the same team is a recipe for disaster in 2021.

I'd deal Harden straight up for Beal + Bertans in a heartbeat if it's on the table. I think it brings them a better vibe, and gives Wall+Beal a chance to compete for the first time with great role players around them.

Wood, Bertans, Eric Gordon, PJ, House & Boogie are a bloody amazing support unit for any star duo.

Bonus - It simultaneously send Harden to rot in a real crazy situation that can't be fixed.

But why would the Wizards do that? Why would they want a malcontent, who didn't care to play on their team? Beal could get them legit helpful pieces for the future if they wanted to move him.

No way in hell Harden agrees to be shipped to Washington to die with Westbrook again. Let's keep the proposals semi realistic.

I agree with you. They should just let him rot on the bench. Sometimes you gotta draw a line in the sand tanking value be damned

That said it won't happen

Ben Simmons is BAP. Thing is Simmons and Wall is a bad fit. Its too bad because Harden on the sixers would be really cool to see.

I think that it's pretty obvious. I'm not going to give you my political views because that doesn't matter. I'm telling you that all of these things were the reports on why Harden wants out. They are protesting in the bubble for things that the owner feels the opposite about and donates to

It won't happen because it sends a message to any star that is even thinking about going to HOU. They are watching this situation and if HOU doesn't a get a deal done and continues to waste Harden's career, no one will commit to them in the future.

It's not worth it. They had a good 7 year run with Harden. It's time to move on

I don't think that the rockets care about that. Wall and Harden haven't been a great fit. If you trade James then you most likely aren't winning a title right now anyways so you take the best player available and figure the rest out later

So when is the 6ixers/Rockets deal going to happen? Are any other teams gonna swoop in there?
