You clearly know more than the doctors. Plenty of players play with tears. I get it, is risky. Roy was missing cartilage coming into the league though. Completely different situation.

Damn, Hunter being out hurts. He’s arguably the Hawks best two way player and was just finding his groove. I hope this isn’t a foreshadowing of his career being injury prone

I would've given him a couple more days of rest (make it almost a full week off), but what do I know.

Brandon Roy had a degenerative knee issue. It was why he fell in the draft.
I get the concern for Embiid but his injury is way different than Roys

Embid starting today. Interesting. If he winds up fully tearing his miniscus then who is that on. I think it’s a mistake.

I really hope to see Embiid look good and make it through the series. But if he aggravates the injury and has to leave, after what happened with AD, what does that say about todays medical teams amd franchise’s approach to the game?

How about Durant then. Durant in the finals had a calf injury. Tried to play through it and tore his Achilles. That was the finals. This is a second round match up. Durant shouldn’t have played. But he did because it was the finals. I think the sixers are perfectly capable of beating the hawks without embid. It seems kinda stupid to play him in this game.

Hunter being out is a huge deal. Not a good sign.

We don't know what the doctors found.
I remind you that a sprain is a miniscule tear too. Every doctor who has throw his hat on this says that if the tear is old, little and placed on a convenient place he's actually day to day as the team said.
Can i say i'm not nervous the guy can aggravate his injury? not. Do i have the info the team has? no, so i don't know if we are just exaggerating because of the word "tear".

Re: EC | Rd. 2| (1) Sixers vs (5) Hawks [0-0]
I get the risk and the fear, but I think it's also an understandable decision for Philly and Embiid...if you're them, you're looking at a landscape where the Lakers are out, Harden is hurt, the Clippers could still get eliminated today, and you're thinking you may never have a path like this again, so you can bet both Embiid and the team want him to play if it's at all possible.

I'll be upfront, I went through multiple tears, multiple arthroscopic surgeries, had my meniscus sewn together but years later whilst in the military had it removed. A lonnnnng time ago.
What does resting a week do for Embiid with a small cartilage tear? Not like it's going to heal up.

I thought he would be a key player to slow down Tobias

Good luck guarding Trae in the pick and roll with a torn meniscus.

The two teams I least want to see win facing off against each other. I guess I’ll go for the Hawks…
When will we just change the name of 25 of the 30 teams to the Washington Generals?
Please advise….
